Cry Havoc. Its fitting. The Call to glory that my auspice brings, the chaos and rage of the battlefield. Good. "Then lets make sure we all live long enough to tell others of it." Looking at the river a final time, she starts barking out the orders she knows Matt was about to issue anyway. "Alright, Widow. Lets get a few of those leaves going - just incase they stop somewhere and this journey stops short. Morgan, up here with me. You get to be my Battle Buddy." She says with a smile. "Get to it guys. Huah!" She shouts, turning to set the pace for the pack along the river.

It's expected of an Iminir to chafe against orders. Morgan's tribemates up north had expected the Iminir to fall into the Alpha rolls, but Morgan? She gives Emil... no Crys Havoc a brief nod and soon the Dalu-based Rahu is onto all fours of the Urshul form, her copper fur glinting in the light. Along her eyes, the lightning scar is a pale stretch of fur, where as the duffel bag is another swatch of white fur along her side.

The Urshul takes a steady stride alongside Havoc, energy coiled in the powerful muscles.

Matt had figured that Emily would be his Beta and her showing had simply confirmed that. He smiled as he remembered their first meeting, over two years ago now on the night of his own First Change and before her own. He'd be terrified and even though he couldn't remember his parents, never had siblings and been raised by a great aunt, Matt had never felt more alone than that night. He remembered being locked in a room of the Den of the local Forsaken Pack, naked and frozen from the cold February weather of upstate New York. The Elodoth remembered the door cracking slightly ajar and a short brown haired girl telling him that things were going to be alright and tossing him a blanket. There were some people in this world that God or Luna or Fate or Whoever just threw together. Matt knew that the girl he considered his honest to God Blood Sister was one of those people for him.

"Keep a clear eye up there." He turns to the Rites Master of the new potential pack.

"Widowsight, would you be so kind as to do that Voodoo that you do so well." He smiles as he shifts to the Form of the Near Wolf. Or the Big, Bad Wolf as he liked to him of it.

Assuming it's a Crescent moon since it's Crescent in RL. Otherwise, Kam will use essence points to shape shift.

At the command, Kamaria shrunk down into Dalu, walking to the river's edge and wasting no time as she tossed another handful of leaves atop the water. "Alright folks, let's get this show on the road." When (or if) the few stray leaves began to drift against the current, Widowsight would follow, rising once again into Urshul.

So the new pack sets off...and off and off and off. It's certainly not a short trip. And while lupine forms are better suited to traveling long distances than human ones, that simply seems to serve to make it a matter of weeks instead of months. They leave the suburbs of Sacramento behind, and the flatlands surrounding the city. By the time they start reaching foothills, and forested spiritscape, they're getting real sick of those MREs. But they press onward, eventually reaching what can only be the river's headwaters up in the mountains. Though it seems...a great deal more foreboding than it likely is out in the material world, a deep pool of water surrounded by sheer cliffs. The leaves float into the middle of it...and disappear.

Urshul might be supernaturally capable - weeks were still weeks, and it was all she could do not to collapse from exhaustion when they arrive at The Source. You cant fall now. You cant let them see you fall. <<Now, that wasnt so bad.>> She says, eying a patch of ephermal rocks and weeds about four feet, or the length of her body if she juts fell down right now, right in front of her.

Morgan's tongue lolls out in a lupine version of a smirk. She circles the quasi-pack they've formed twice, glancing over each member to make sure they're all right. No bruises, pads on the paws look good, fur's still shiny, eyes bright. Sure they're exhausted, even she was feeling the effects of such a long hike, but they were all right.

She catches Emily's glance and then decides to make the decision for them. It was not weakness when it was needed to recouperate their strength. Besides, she didn't much care for the landscape and they needed to make a plan for the next step.

<<We catch breath here>> She conveys through a mixture of First Tongue and natural wolf language. <<Let Elodath and Ithaeur think>> She takes the first step and sits back on her haunches. Outwardly, the ruse looks as if she's pretending to be exhausted to allow Emily to save face by resting as well. Typical Storm Lord behavior. Inwardly, though, she was grateful for the rest as well. She wanted to be limber in case Matt and Widowsight accidentally called up the wrong sort of house call. <<You and I, we plan for what happens if negotiations go sour, all right Crys Havoc?>>

Morgan may not have been Alpha, or Beta. She might never be, but she knew that the protection of her pack, of people closer to her than blood family ever will be, was on her shoulders. So as she spoke, she kept her eyes alert. <<Now. What do we know?>>

    Perception Roll

The journey reminded him of home. His own childhood in the woods of Maine, and lets face it there was Bangor ( or BANGer ), Brewer, Orono and well ... hills and trees. Lots and lots of trees. Then his apprenticeship as a young wolf in the mountains and valleys of upstate New York, where the Hunters in Darkness and Blood Talons would take his "City Boy" ass out into the wilderness to see if he could find his way back. Matt would always imagine himself as Hawkeye during those training sessions, running the ridges to scout the advancing lines of the French and Indian forces or as part of the rag tag Continental Army forces that beat Burgoyne at Saratoga.

If a wolf could laugh, Matt the Wolf laughed at that thought. Saratoga, his ex-fiancee's name. Yes, Sara was Saratoga and her brother Lex was Lexington, named after the battles and the carriers their naval aviator grandfather served on in the Pacific. The Wolf stood tall. The memories of the past added a certain resolve to his weary frame.

He made a promise silently as he looked at Emily, now Cry Havoc, flop to the ground, as he watched Morgan keeps a watch despite the weariness she was trying to hide, as he looked to the Crescent Moon and wondered about her thoughts on Eternal Sentry's words becoming so very real. They'd followed him out here and he would get them back, they were becoming his pack, his family and he would go through hell for them.

The Elodoth shifts to human. Every single muscle in his body is screaming as he stretches to his full 6'0 height. Sweat holds his dedicated clothing tightly against his skin and oh dear god the smell. He smelled like hockey equipment that hadn't been aired out since Ken Dryden played for the Big Red. His face was rough and he needed a shave as badly has he needed a hot shower, a medium pizza and a night with Taylor Swift. Or Amanda Seyfried. Or both.

Matt is quiet for a minute as he stares at the hole where the River and the leaves have disappeared. He breathes in deeply, wondering if his human voice would still work. It's hoarse and his accent is more pronounced than usual, even takes him a few tries before he can force something out.

"Eternal Sentry spoke of acquiring the assistance of a chained Prisoner, an extremely powerful spirit who we are not to free but could aid us greatly against the Magath."

Once you've walking for miles upon miles, that burning ache on your muscles began to fade, but the moment Kamaria lowered herself down to rest, she realized just how raw and stiff those legs felt. A few more weeks of this, and it would've been like walking on sausages, she mused silently to herself, eyes watching the pool as she listened to the group converse. Widow had only arrived in Sacramento two months ago, but already, here she was, off on some crazy mission.

    >>Yes, the 'prisoner chained in earth who will bulwark us' - 'Fear him, respect him, and do not anger him'. However, something else she mentioned concerns me,<< She spoke, finally, shifting her weight about so as to face the pseudo-pack, her expression stern. The Eternal Sentry talk wasn't exactly a pleasant memory. >>She said that the chains were weakening. Now, I won't lie and say I understand even half of what she says, but I think we can all guess what happens if those chains get too weak. And that was almost two months ago.<< What, exactly, they were supposed to do about that, if anything, Kamaria wouldn't know until they found him, but it was something to ponder. >>Something tells me we will have to go down into that pool there, but I think we should search the area around it, just to be safe. If we do go down, we're going to need a water spirit's aid.<<

Morgan listened to both Matt and Widowsight. As Widowsight continued speaking, she was suddenly grateful that an Urshul's facial expressions went from snarly to snarlier. They'd have to swim. Of course they'd have to swim. She could look on the bright side: it wasn't the ocean in the middle of a storm ... but then again, it was the Hisil, and a prison. Just perfect.

<<Look around first for aid sounds the best bet right now.>> She mentions, idly scratching at her ear.
