Christian had a headache, and the only cure was running since aspirin was a total waste of time. He was good enough that little things like buildings and walls didn't slow him down anymore, and it was no great trouble to change his course and aim it at the new howl in the night.
Stefan threw back his head and howled again with more enthusiasm as he bounded towards whatever the movement was. It seemed instinctive, normal to crouch down low against the grass and move fast. He didn't want it to get away.

The three Uratha who rush to the scene have little difficulty finding the nuzusul, crouching low to the park's short grass as he seems to be pursuing...something.
Meanwhile, a new trio of scents catch Stefan's attention. All of which have an element to them that seems strangely familiar, even though he's certain he's never smelled it before. And he has similarly little difficulty in spotting the trio of newcomers. Each of whom seem to trigger brief flashes of ephemeral imagery that once again overlay what he assumes to be reality. The harsh glare of firelight racing down an otherwise dark tunnel, moonlight gleaming menacingly off a pistol in twisted city streets, the rapid sound of gunfire shattering the nighttime silence of an airstrip...

The newcomers disorientated him, and he crouched low, growling as he saw the fire and the gunshots that were there and weren't there. His nostrils flared and he faced them, warning them off as he tried to make sense of the images.

Matthew pads to a halt, leaving a respectable distance between himself and the Nuzusul, carefully managing his body language to project a calming presence. 'Just relax. We're here to help.' He drops onto his haunches in a further show of non-aggression.
