Rick was silent for several, very long, moments as he digested what he'd just been told. Sure HAL had been behaving a bit strange since last Autumn, something both he and Terri had certainly picked up on. But he certainly hadn't expected this. "I should probably speak with those Sovereigns that remain in good standing, then." His tone and inflection was surprisingly even. Though the suddenly whirling winds of his mantle betrayed that he was probably not nearly so calm as his voice indicated.

And he was so caught up in that that he almost missed Jack's response, and question. "He's with Terri, and Sam, and the rest of the guys that accompanied us on the Ash Run...and the other 'Lings we pulled out of the Hedge.

The Summer King stops before the Halls entry into the Court Hollow and sighs, gathering himself and trying to reign down whatever he still held from the battle earlier.

The mess with Tickle burned him, and the swirling Mystery around Katrine was frustrating.
But answers would come. Rust poured his roaring pride and ego into to golden vat of Wrath that was his soul. A trick learned from an old Summer Knight long gone from Sacramento.

It would not do to appear before Katrin a brash fool. Rust was not that kind of Summer Lord.
Rust wondered at what she would ask of Summer against her foe. It was likly he was the last to understand the plot.

"Not that she need know that" He grinned at the cunning thought and slowly opened the door to the Court, His mantle heralding his entry with bolt of blue ligthning and a wave of rough heat. Rust entered to kneel before the True lord of Sacramento.

Marcus Evan

"Sorry, mate."

The Metalflesh knows how he would feel if it was his King that had gone around the bend. It's a shame really. He likes HAL.

"I'll keep tabs on this geezer. You take care of business. We'll find somewhere to wait."

Looking at Mr. Bates, the Constable raises the hand not holding onto the furry bridge-burner in order to get the shell-shocked Chatelaine's attention. He looks at the other Wizened expectantly. Coming back to himself, Bates nods and shows the Constable to a secure room on one of the upper floors.

Doctor Jack

Jack smiles in thanks to Rick's answer. The Wizened is glad that at least one person appears to give a damn about his friend.

"I guess I should go find them and make sure everyone's okay."

Taking leave of his Queen, Jack exits the banquet room and leaves the game of politics to those best suited to such pursuits. The Winter Queen has been found and the Autumn King has fallen, undone by his own fears and desires.
