Terri already left...
Diane, finally shakes herself from her reverie as she walks with Mr. Bates, to see the King of the current court. She doesn't know what came over her she just seemed to zone out there all of a sudden. She's back now and ready to go. "Sorry, Mr. Bates, I don't know what came over me, I must've been absorbed by the conversation back there."
OOC
Mr. Bates returns to the front desk after escorting Diane back from the Throne Room. The Darkling had been introduced to the reigning Sovereign and agreed to the Freehold Oath while the others discussed the nevernips. Mrs. Rosemary sends a skeptical look toward Patrick and Kaito.
"From what I've heard, I believe this Mr. Tickle is more concerned with keeping people out of the Hedge, than enticing them to enter it."
"Well then while I hate to be the one who must state the obvious, it does seem that we have a new enemy who is tampering with the Hedge." It would have been nice had it been Tickle. The enemy you were aware of was a enemy whose skill and ability you might fear but was still a mostly clear and defined threat. This new issue with the Hedge was a more uncertain danger and it seemed to want to draw innocents in.
"What kind of knowledge is needed to grow these berries? If we can narrow down who has the ability to cause their growth, it might let us focus any investigation."
Kaito grins at Patrick. It seemed the two musketeers were going on another mission. Perhaps Kathleen could be the third?
"Where would we even start?" Kaito thought out loud. "Can the plants be killed?"
"Hard to say... they would need access to the Hedge, of course, and probably a sizable Hollow. They would also need to have quite a bit of knowledge about gardening in general."
Mrs. Rosemary nods to Kaito after she answers Patrick.
"Yes, but that could prove very time consuming. If you wish to stop the spread of these plants, you should first find the source."
Kaito looks at Patrick. "I have no idea where we would begin on that. I am afraid it might have to wait until after we have found the Winter Queen."
"I would probably start with speaking to a member of our community more versed with regards to matters of the Hedge. Maybe the Legate or another of the long time residents of the Freehold would know more about the situation in the Hedge and who has the resources to causes these problems." He sighed, slightly ashamed of his own lack of knowledge with regards to the Hedge. His own occult studies had taken him in a rather different direction, which was something the Darkling was loath to admit in front of Kaito. Patrick would hate for his lack of knowledge in this subject to cause her to lower her opinion of him.
Mrs. Rosemary seems to shrug her shoulders slightly.
"I do hope I was of some little help, dears. Now, I'm afraid I must get back to work. Those sun boar shoulders won't braise themselves, after all."
Smiling sweetly, the Ogress excuses herself, leaving the other Lost to their own devices.
"Alright I suggest that we find someone with a bit more knowledge about the Hedge and begin to see what this could mean." The Darkling examines the Winter Courtier to see if she had any better idea for their next move.
