    NOTE: If your name is listed, you had an early invitation, and time to 'prepare': Prince Freddrick, Twist, Ishani Naetesh, Paresh Williams, Katherine Devoe, any other Covenant heads, Kira Duvois, Neil Coben, Lioni Dupree, & Quinton Jones.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Pulling up to The Clare, valets park the car and staff open the doors. One of the late Hierophant's priestesses escort people to the Grand Ballroom, past armed guards, where more priestesses and young Kindred stand by to assist with anything. Guests are also asked to remit any weapons and reminded that the Prince is in attendance and that this is therefore an Elysium.
    Guests are required to enter one at a time.
    Going through the doors, a small tunnel with a switchback has been constructed of glass painted black, impenetrable and lit by a rows of LEDs on the floor along each wall of glass. Following the switchback, you come to a set of black velvet drapes. You can hear the chirping of birds. Some might even smell Eucalyptus. The first opens to the right. Light spills from under the second curtain, which opens to the left. You open the curtain.
    Hot, yellow sunlight drenches you.
    When you can, you look again. A blazing yellow sun hangs in a blue, blue sky.
    Gravel and sand are under your feet, and you step into the ruins of India. Edifices loom in the distance, in a sea of blue sky. Lammergeier and sharma birds twitter. Banyan, Neem, and Eucalyptus trees abound, as well as rubble and pillars adorning the ground along the walls.
    Closer inspection will reveal the walls and domed ceiling are covered with sheets of painted glass. Hot yellow light stream through the glass to effect the illusion.
    The East wall extends out into a fabricated area of faux columns, forming a room and concealing an exit, an area for the Prince.
    A few guests (on the 'Early' List) are already there.
    Asa is dressed for an archeological safari.
    ~~
    Mrs. Scotts had little trouble fiting into her dress. A narrow ballroom dress, properly done with the colors of the party. Belise had done a good job. She would have to recommend her shop. She adjusted the jewels that Icarus had given her, and went to her purse.
    After pondering security, she brought a baby 9mm full auto, put in a paper bag. At the very best, she'd leave it in the car and no problems. If not, it was cheap enough she could throw it out without worries. And like all good chinese products, it was traceable back to a metaphorical black hole.
    Her new car, a beautiful shiny black hummer purred in her hands. She didn't care what others might say about it. It was a work of sheer beauty in her eyes. Pulling up to the hotel, she left the keys in the car for the valet. Pleased with the security, she left her bag in the glove box, and went inside.
    She walked gracefully and with poise, as her dress swept around her.
    She gave condolences to all of the priestesses that she passed.
    Finally, she entered the main room, and Immediately fled back out.
    ~~
    White and Ecru. Why did that have to be the color for the night. Shit. I have every fucking color of dark in a suit.
    After waking up Ash quickly made his way to the local suit store. It took a couple of stores to find one he kind of liked, and a little extra money to convince the tailor to hurry up. In the end, he liked the result
    That was it for major expenses for the month.
    He handed his car keys to the valet. "Thought I was going to be late." Seeing as how his budget was blown anyway, he threw a 20 to the valet.
    As he walked through the entrance, he wanted to run screaming. He knew it was only an illusion, otherwise he would have certainly died on the spot. But part of him stayed there as he got lost in the illusion.
    Oh dear god. How long. How I would love to see the ruins in daylight in real life.
    If he could remember how to cry, he probably would have teared up at that point. "To see the light of day one more time on a lovely beach. I would like that to be the way i go" he said softly to himself.
    "Masterfully done Priscus. Those who can see the illusion will enjoy it. I most certainly did" he offers a bow and extends his hand for a handshake.
    ~~
    Paresh walks in and follows the switchbacks and parts the curtains and recoils from the sun that spills on him after he looked down and sees that he was not burnt the smile crept across his face and he walked in and looked around....it was....home....
    Seeing he was early and allowed to go and change into something more fitting he took advantage, where his suit might fit he would help the Pricus pull off his little mirage...he went in looked around and started gathering stuff stepping into the changing area he waited until he was told to come out by the master of the event....this would be fun.
    ~~
    Minutes after Erika heard the theme of the party, her room was a mess. Dresses and outfits thrown halfway across the bed, some of them hanging from the ceiling fan as she dug through to find something suitable. Thankfully, she had plenty of dresses she kept updated and wearable from ages long ago:
    She hated arriving at such an event in a cab, but there really wasn't much choice; there'd been no time to book a limo, and she really didn't want to buy a car so soon. She slid out of the cab, handed over some cash, and walked up to the door, her hair tumbling down in fancy braids and swirls as she walked. It isn't until she walks through the switchback, and sees that light under the draped curtains that her beast starts to swell; it screams inside her as she pushes the curtains aside and steps through...but she somehow manages to push it down, quell it in the light of the...sun?
    Interesting choice for a party, with so many of us Mekhet in the city...
    She smiles as she takes in the rest of the room, though, and just slides into observation mode as she walks about, for now.
    ~~
    Ishani had arrived earlier then most, and she was in the dressing area trying to get the fandangled garmet she'd chosen to wear wrapped around her form correctly. It wasn't that the garmet was that difficult to figure out, it was that she had not worn anything like this before and it took a little bit of getting used to. She also refused the assistence of anyone who asked to help. She was old enough to get herself dressed, dammit.
    Finally, the outfit slide into place and Ishani felt comfortable. She did not know if she was supposed to wait to be announced or something, but she felt the need to be out there watching. So, she stepped out of the dressing room and into the "sunlight" trying not to lose all sense of control. It was so bright in here, she felt like her eyes were trying to pop out of her head. But this was Asa's event and she refused to mess it up by losing control. She shut down her beast with a tight, iron clamp and moved to stand at his side.
    "What a wonderful theme this is. I am sure it will take everyone by surprise." She said to him as she came up, giving him a low curtsey.
    She was glad however, that the garmet was loose enough to conceal the weapons she carried on her. She was also glad she was allowed to have those weapons. She would have felt completly lost without them.
    ~~
    Mrs. Scotts saunters back into the building, a wide smile on her face and chuckling as she wanders back into the sunlit room. Observers may notice a slightly stiffer walk, in total contrast to her smile.
    The beast struggles and screams and claws at her, and she resorts back to the most basic, if not the most elegant of mental suppression techniques. "No!" She demands of it, throwing her entire will behind it as she steps into the sundrenched room. It screams and drives at her, and she stops the merry go round, brings the bars in, and turning it back into the cage of her younger years. "No! I am in control, and you are not!" She shouts at it, as it howls and screams.
    The beasts of the room greet her like old friends now, and hers is still too terrified to do much of anything anyway.
    She gives a curtsey to the audience, her smile still evident (if a touch forced).
    She heads straight for Asa, still chuckling.
    "Well done Priscus Asa Clark, well done. You had me completely fooled by the illusion." She gives a bow, Icarus' jewelry dangling as she smiles at him. Looking around, she takes in the sights of India.
    "I'm going to find some way to return this favor mr. clark, don't you worry about it." She thinks to herself, still smiling, this time for real.
    ~~
    Dog had read the notice, and figured he ought to show up. Maybe he could meet this Davis guy that was dodging him. He didn't know what the fuck "ecru" was, but it was pretty much in-line with the pansy feel he got from the city so far. If he actually gave a shit, he'd go ask Lord Blonde at the Asylum... but he didn't.
    He shaved, though, and gotten a suit. It always amazed him how easy it was to get some closet homosexual to take him home. Only slightly less amazing than how much they screamed and cried. It was a black suit, and the stains probably didn't show... much. The tie was a total loss, though, even if he'd known how to tie it. Being stuffed in someone's mouth during playtime tended to do that.
    Goddamn.
    Dog recoiled at the light, Claws almost popping out. Was this a joke? Someone needed their sense of humor 'adjusted'.
    ~~
    Rahyna pulled up to the hotel and sat for a moment before exiting her vehicle and handing her keys to the valet she was a bit nervous about attending this party and had spent a couple of hours deciding what it was she wanted to wear after finally making her decision she started going through her jewelry to find something that would mark her as dying light being that the outfit she decided on was not blue she fixed her sights on the sapphire set she had bought herself quite some time back but never had the chance to wear anywhere.
    Smiling to the valet she made her way to the entrance of the hotel and made her way in as she stepped inside she immediately had a feeling of ‘Oh shit’ as she stumbled slightly when the bright light of what looked like the sun hit her. Once the realization of the illusion settled over her Rahyna regained her composure and headed further into the room intently looking at the scene before her.
    She noticed Asa talking to a few people and figured she would go and pay her respects to the host of the evening as she walked across the room to where he was standing she smoothed out her dress. Once reaching him she gave a slight bow.
    “Priscus Clark you have done a wonderful job with this evenings gathering it looks absolutely wonderful.” Rahyna raised her head and smiled sweetly at Asa.
    ~~
    Bella had decided to the party she would go. She didn't know if anyone else of the Sanctum would be attending and they needed some kind of representation.
    Not having a damn clue with the hell ecru was supposed to be, she simply picked an outfit out of her wardrobe that was her style and decided it would have to do.
    After arriving and making sure her weapons stayed in the car, she stepped into the tunnel leading to the main room.
    As she pulled the curtain aside and the light hit her face, her beast took over. Turning around she fled right back down the tunnel and back out the front door. She had nearly reached the end of the long driveway before she regained herself. Stopping with a bit of a skid, she just stood there, taking in deep gulps of air.
    It was not the sun. It was not the sun. Just a really really bright light that was warm. Come on Bella get a grip. It was not the sun! She told herself as she took a cigerette out of the pack with shaking hands.
    She smoked the cigerette and the shaking slowly subsided. By the time she was done with the smoke, she was ready to try again.
    She walked back into the hotel and slowly walked down that damn tunnel.
    Asa is a total prick. Fucking Ventrue jackass. She thought angrily, as she gathered the courage to move the curtain aside.
    Taking a page from Jason's book, she took a deep breath and moved the curtain.
    Again, her beast screamed, kicked, and clawed at her inner mind to get away from the damn light. She shut the door on it. A twelve inch steel door. And stepped out onto the sand.
    As she slowly moved through the room, she began to get more comfortable and started to regain her composure (what little there was left of it). She approached Asa, squinting in the light, as it hurt her eyes.
    "Good evening Priscus. What a lovely event you have set up for the kindred of the city. I just wanted to say how beatiful it is in here. Thank you for this opportunity to get reacquainted with the sun."
    She gave him a deep curtsy, then, with a smile, walked away.
    Twist was both simultaneously excited for and dreading Asa’s Party. She had gotten a sneak peak of the décor a week or so back and it had all the makings for what should be a fun evening. But then the attacks had happened and so many kindred under one roof opened up dangerous possibilities for a city under attack. To deal with the confliction she first sharpened her knives and stashed a number of them in her vehicle. She would have liked to carry one on her person but the hotel was an acting Elysium so she didn’t- choosing to play by the rules. And then she did what most Daeva do…she primped and premed until it was time to leave.
    Arriving at the hotel she tucked her mask into the glove box and handed over her keys to the valet, but not before noting the direction the line of cars where going. It did no good to have knives in her car if she didn’t know where the car was. She greeted Emma’s Priestesses somberly. It had not been enjoyable having to tell them of their loss. It was hard not to skip to through the dark switchback- she knew full well what awaited her. And even with the threat of attack hanging over the city she couldn’t help but loose some of her panic in the party atmosphere.
    The wall of faux sunshine hit her face and she spared a second to remind her beast that it was all an illusion- not hard since it had already faced this once before, and then let herself surrender to the scenario for a second. She had never been to India, and nor did she ever plan to go but she would probably always link it with sunshine because of this shindig. She had taken full advantage of her prior knowledge and dressed fully to motif. Gold bangles reached to mid forearm, a chain looped from her upper ear to her lobe and then to her nose, an elaborate bindi rested between her eyes and the small gold bells on her right ankle chimed with every other step.
    After enjoy the fake sunshine, Twist glanced around to see who had already arrived. She noted Asa being surrounded by compliment givers. She would say hello later- he was busy now. Instead she began to wander aimlessly around the room, simply enjoying the atmosphere.
    on the usual Twist body
    ~~
    O-Yama entered the party, he nearly screamed in fear and the artificial sunlight cast its light on his flesh. The stark white, and beigeish ecru of his kimono reflecting the light uncomfortably to his eyes. Oh, Asa, you must have a daiben-eating everytime one of us walks in. O-Yama shook away the beast, visibly calming himself by taking a deep breath. He then put on a winner's smile, and attempted to find the others that were on the burn team, they were the closest thing he had to allies tonight, the closest thing to what a kindred could call a friend. Seeing Sheriff Naetiff he began mingling through the crowd in an attempt to move towards her, and hopefully meet up with the others as he made his way to her.
    Bells comes in.
    Bells goes out, looking just a bit terrified.
    And then, a few minutes later, she comes back. Just enough time to smoke a cigarette.
    That's my girl.
    Then I see her make her way over to the 'host', and it hits me:
    It's fucking bright in here. In fact, it looks like a sunny day, and Bells, being Mekhet, had reacted to it in the way any Mekhet would. Makes me also wonder if our 'host' has a irrational hatred of Shadows (or Asps, for that matter).
    So I make my way over to her as she walks away, offering my 'sister' an arm.
    "Had to call Justin because I had no idea what the fuck color Ecru was." It's said in a whisper, and I try to give her a smile in order to just make it a little easier to bear.
    We wouldn't be staying long, that was a certainty. "You look nice."
    ~~
    Asa loved the effect. It was everything he had hoped it would be. And now the guests arrive. Squeezing Ishani's hand, he smiled at her, "You did tell me that you missed the day, once, you know..."
    With the guests arriving, he signaled to one of the priestesses to let Paresh and the others know that the party was beginning. There were one or two lapses of entrances, he noted ruefully, as well as some unfamiliar faces. He had foregone having the guests announced for exactly this reason. No need to humiliate anyone.
    Responding to the compliments with a warm, genuine smile, he knew that not all were sincere, but his thanks for them and the guests for coming was. Some, he noted, preferred to mingle or wander, and he gave the Seneschal a nod of acknowledgment when she looked at him. He was glad to see Kira, knowing that the sewer... incident... had hit her hard.
    "Thank you all for coming," he said to those around him, "and I truly hope you enjoy yourselves."
    Erika shuddered at the thought that he enjoyed this cruel prank. Surely he had to know the effects it would have on a large portion of the population? She stepped around, looking at the glass domed walls and shrugged a little...it was a great illusion though, however it was done. Her eyes glanced around at all the newcomers, and a slight smirk held at her lips for just a moment when the discordant Bella couldn't even hold herself together during the first attempt to enter the room.
    Erika hoped that Icarus might show up, although that wasn't likely, from what she'd heard of him. She hadn't had time to stop by the hotel yet, and she was still looking forward to meeting him.
    After leaving Asa, Scotts mingles her way over to the Sherrif.
    She gives a bow "Thank you for eradicating the plant from my house. I wish that I had been blessed with a more capable physique, so that you would not have had to endager yourself and others. I also want you to know that the loss of the house to me was not of consequence, and I greatly appreciate what you did. Could you tell me how it all happened?"
    ~~
    Tammi Rose
    Obfuscate 2 active
    The Gangrel walked in and immediately noticed the decor. She frowned a bit before speaking mainly to herself. "The sun is just so last season."
    A wave was given to the Sheriff as she sauntered past. She had chosen the pink little outfit she had seen Alicia Silverstone wear in Clueless mainly cause Alicia's character Cher knew style.
    A white Coach bag over her shoulder she made her way towards the Seneschal. She had info that Twist just had to have. As if her presence here enough wasn't enough to warrant a conversation with the Seneschal. Walking up to her she curtsied politely before extending her hand.
    "HI!!! I'm Tammi Rose, your the Seneschal right? That's just so cool! I mean I'm sure it's alot of work and all but it's just SOOO COOOOLLLL to be someone important like that. One day maybe I'll be an important person too. Anywaaaaysss, I just thought I'd come over and say like Hi and all cause I haven't had the pleasure of like meeting you before and you like are important and stuff. I love your dress. Where'd you get it? Mine's retro from the 90's and stuff it just rocks. I like yours too though. So like is there any other important people here? Considering it was a 4x4 with one driver and 3 men in the back, probably kindred due to their speed and aversion to the fire they were shooting, I doubt the Hierophant will be here though. What's with the decor? I mean why do bright sun on Friday the 13th? Why not like some guy in a Hockey mask like swinging a chainsaw. It's like definitely a Monet. Like I mean it's just so Whateva?
    Her voice moved with the speed of a Celerity master, matched only by the speed of her hand gestures.
    ~~
    Ace arrives dramatically on his Ducati, tossing the keys at a baffled and rather bewildered valet. He growls at fellow kindred dressed up like they're going to a fucking ball, the punk in skin tight black jeans and his knee high creepers. His shirt is at least white, sleeves ripped off and frayed to show of his full sleeve tattoos, black suspenders and a black thin tie completing the look. In an attempt to at least acknowledge the theme he wears white leather cuff bracelets with handy spikes, his switchblades all obfuscated in a variety of places on his body. In an effort to be 'fancy' he puts his platinum lip rings in.
    "Ugh...This ridiculous shitty political shit..." he grumbles to himself as he enters, heading down the tunnel.
    Bella smiles back at Jason tightly, and slides her arm out of his grasp. "Give me a second." She says, heading for the tunnel again. "I need to get my sunglasses, this shit is giving me a migraine."
    She leaves the building, finds her car and grabs the sunglasses out of the glove compartment.
    When she comes back, her stride is much more fluid and confident. She walks back to Jason with a genuine smile.
    "So much better. Now, anyone here we need to do the mingle dance with? And you are steaming tonight. Good thing you called Justin. I had no clue what the hell ecru was either, so I went for black." She says, shrugging.
    Ishani's jaw drops and she looks at Asa. "You're kidding me right? I mean, seriously Asa, I am sure everyone misses the day time every once in a while."
    The fact that he'd insinuated that he'd done this for her just flat out floored her. She didn't know what to say. She had heard that sometimes their kind could find love, real love, not that fake shit you pass off as love when it's only lust. But she never actually believed it. Now, she wasn't so sure.
    Was it love that Asa truly felt for her? Or was she just a passing fancy?
    She shoved the thought away for now. It was not the time to think about such things. She had better things to do then allow her mind to be muddled with such thoughts right now.
    She turned to Ms. Scotts with a frown, after the woman asked her to tell her about how the house had gone down.
    "No offense, Ms. Scotts, but I would really like to just enjoy myself right now, before delving back into business."
    Though he bears a Mekhet tattoo on his arm, Ace shuns the norm of all the other Mekhets and blatantly disregards the 'sunlight' sauntering in like a high roller and keeping his normal smirk on handsome lips.
    He looks around, appearing totally out of place in the big room, glancing at the sun as though it is no more bother than a fly.
    Jason Andrews
    "'Black' is the Inquisitor's color, right? I'm sure no one gives a shit."
    Well...they probably did, but Bells isn't the kind of girl who cares what other people think. The only reason I care is because I'm getting residuals from Justin and my Sire, and they only care based on what it will get them in the long run.
    Me? I haven't sold my soul to the gods of practicality yet.
    "And thanks. Never thought I'd ever get to wear this get-up. I'm not sure if there are any people I'd need to talk to. Mrs. Scotts and I have an arrangement, and I was thinking that, if Davis showed, I'd talk at him a bit. Otherwise? I don't really know anyone."
    ~~
    Ace heads over to a pretty little thing wearing all black, my kind of girl... he thinks to himself, smirking.
    As he walks towards her he bumps almost roughly into some unknown Kindred (Jason). He ducks his head in apology and keeps walking.
    ~~
    Aww....How cute.
    He's Posturing.
    I brush my sleeves, the front of my coat, and my pants. Please: I grew up on the bad-side of town. My mother was a prostitute on the Baltimore Block, and I'd been picking pockets since I was ten.
    I'm no idiot.
    I sniff. Twice. Catching a scent. "No sweat, man."
    Description: 6'4, with an invitingly easy charm. Speaks with a slow cadence that borders on a drawl, but without an accent. Subtle hints of wealth in clothing and accouterments.
    Quinton had stopped and picked up his Childe tonight would be her first real event and he would test her to see what she would show him. No instruction on his part, tonight was the worm on the end of the hook.
    He dressed in a three piece suit and walked in...the light was more then he expected but he did not run for it would be undignified to run from such a light. He walked in and looked around then looked to his childe
    Where do we go first?
    After nodding an agreement to Kira, Asa gave his thanks to Ash to coming. Seeing Ms. Scotts approaching, a curious look gave way to tiny smile as she spoke. Is this how it begins? Asa nodded to Ms. Scotts, "Please convey my thanks, as well as my regrets that he was unable to attend."
    If Icarus wanted it presented here, then he wanted it opened here, I'd assume. What an interesting dilemna.
    Asa saw Lioni watching. He had been intending to ask her what she thought of Nicolo, but her attention made up his mind, and he opened the box.
    All things considered it would have been rude not to.
    Bella turns to face Nicolo with a smile. Finally, someone she knew who wasn't going to look at her like she was the freak of the party.
    "Yeah sure thing." She turns to Jason. "I'll be back in a minute, Jase, don't get into any trouble."
    She walks Nicolo over to a quiet corner where they could hear themselves and where no one else could hear them.
    "What can I do for you, Nicolo?"
    He moved to the side with Bella and lowered his voice. "Look. I don't want to start any trouble. I understand people here think I am a religious fanatic. That I jump too soon to action and think too little on analyzing things." He hoped he wasn't making a huge mistake with what he was about to say to her. God, please, don't let her report it back to the Cardinal if he got into trouble for falsely accusing an innocent.
    "Bella – do you see that young Kindred talking to the Seneschal right now? There is something wrong with her. As Longinus is my witness, she is a pretender. I have no proof. Just an instinct. We must convince the Lady Seneschal to detain her and let you question her to find her to be VII or find her to be innocent. One way or the other..."
    He held his breath waiting for her reply.
    Antoinette made her way quietly behind Quinton, trying to act calm and sophisticated, but inside she was screaming with excitement. FINALLY! Finally she could be introduced to the other Kindred in the city! She was so bored with being sequestered, and so excited about her new, well, it wasn't exactly a life, but not exactly a death either. She was just so excited. But she knew she needed to act properly, with some reserve. This was another test. Being a member of the Invictus was a steady stream of tests that you hopefully passed, or you were sharply corrected for until you passed, then you made your way to the top. At least, that is the story she'd been given.
    She made her way around the corner and... Holy Shit! What happened? Daylight? No! She looked up to gage Quinton's reaction, which was no reaction, and she quickly tried to get a hold of herself. The light was so hot. Horrified, she looked down at her skin, expecting it to be ashing to the bone as Quinton warned her it would if she ever saw the sun again. But everything seemed fine. WTF. She looked up at the light and all around at the images. India – she recognized it from a previous trip. It all must be an elaborate illusion. Antoinette took a deep breath – it was hard to get over the fact that she didn't need to breath. And never would again. It made her smile.
    "Can we go meet some Vampires? I'm dying to meet some!" She gave him a little smile to show him she was having a bit of fun. The truth was, Quinton was very serious and sometimes he scared the crap out of her. She still wasn't entirely sure when she was allowed to have a sense of humor and when he wanted to be all business. But she was sure she'd learn in time.
    Twist wasn't surprised at Dog. She was surprised at Tammi Rose. Gangrel? Really? Well she had managed to rub her the wrong way within 20 seconds of talking and most Gangrel had an innate ability to do that, especially to Daeva. Thus, maybe it wasn't that surprising.
    "Welcome to the city. As both of you are unaligned- Brandon Davis is your clan Priscus as well as the Prince's Hound. Get in touch with him and he will inform you of all the rules of the city. Any new Mekhet?"
    The Gangrel shrugged her shoulders at the Seneschal's words.
    "I guess I passed the whole like whateva of being one of the people in the like 4x4 then. Bombing!!! Looks like Heirophant's deaths are like neon tight shorts on old men. Like SO hideous you like can't look away when they happen, but once they're gone they're like so easily forgotten cept in your nightmares. Like last seasons wardobe. Looks like the Circle won't be my like my group of choice. AS IF they could like have my awesomeness. Now to just find a Baldwin to like play with tonight." She says not to anyone in particular, but loud enough for the closest to hear.
    Erika just continues to blink at this gangrel. W. T. F. She breaks her silence long enough to move towards Asa and Mrs. Scotts, for both interest in the box, and to speak quietly, "Is she serious?" with a nod towards Tammi.
    The pink spot was talking again.
    Twist turned toward her shaking her head.
    "Oh no, Tammi Rose. You most definitely have not yet passed my test. Unfortuanatly though, this party is not the appropriate location for me to give it to you. So, first I am going to finish acknowledging the rest of the new kindred to the city- and then you and I can retire to a different place. That will be where we find out if you pass or not."
    She began to turn away to resume her Seneschal duties, but then glanced back again at Tammi Rose.
    "So, don't go anywhere."
    Resuming her turn, she began again.
    "Nosferatu?"
    Noticing Erika moving closer, and before Ms. Scotts could catch a glimpse, he closed the box. He hadn't forgotten that smirk at the Grindhouse. So impolite after my hospitality at Ballo Della Notte, Ms. Brady.
    He made eye contact with Lioni, and then spoke to Ms. Scotts, "Again, thank the Mekhet Priscus for such a lovely gift for me, and my thanks to you for the delivery." Across the room he noticed new arrivals. Quentin? Plus one?
    "Still waters run deep. But occasionally rapids can duplicate that feat. She's doing a decent job at playing So-Cal trash. We'll see in the future if its and act or not." she muses aloud. She curtsies, and is about to take her leave when she notices a mekhet tattoo on a shabbily dressed individual. She walks over to him slowly, her stiff posture melting a little as she looses some of her Invictus swagger.
    "I'm Mrs. Scotts, of the Mekhet, and you are?" She asks, extending a hand.
    She needs to listen even in the press of Sunlight....
    I said the choice is yours look around and tell me whom looks interesting to you....
    Bella looks over at the Tammi girl, and nods. Yes, she agreed the girl was very suspiscious, but she could not really do anything unless the Seneschal gave her leave.
    "Let me talk to the Seneschal and offer my services. If she allows it, then it will be done."
    She makes her way over to Twist and leans over to whisper in her ear.
    "It has been brought to my attention that this Tammi person is obviously off. I request your permission to take her into custody and hold her until you are done with your city business. Or, if you'd like, I will request the Sheriff do it as she has the station to do it legally."
    She says this last with an apologetic smile.
    Quinton didn't look too pleased. Had she done something wrong already? Damn, she didn't want to blow her first outing. But the prospect of moving deeper into the room and actually facing all these Kindred was suddenly making her feel physically ill. She was starting to panic and shake. If she completely lost it and bolted, Quinton would be incredibly displeased with her and she knew she'd be going home.
    She closed her eyes, blocked out all the fear and willed herself to overcome it. Mind over matter. She could do this. She was totally tough. Opening her eyes again, Antoinette saw Asa, the Ventrue Priscus. She knew of him already, so that would make things easier.
    "Can you introduce me to Asa, please?"
    Smiling at this choice he moved with her on his arm straight to Asa
    A very good choice and how is it I introduce you? When we get thier?
    Kira excused herself from Asa and went to go speak to Ishani.
    "Enjoying your evening," Kira wasn't sure what to call Ishani in this setting. She preferred to call her boss, but wasn't sure how it would be received by the other Kindred.
    "You look lovely, by the way. Asa did a beautiful job, though his choices took me by surprise."
    He smiled? He took my arm? No way. Antoinette was beginning to feel much more emboldened. The feel of his fine, silk suit against her cool skin was comforting. She could handle this. She could handle anything!
    But the next question threw her for another loop. Jesus Christ. How the fuck am I suppose to know these things. You're suppose to TEACH me! But she didn't dare utter this out loud. Learning the Kindred and the Invictus ropes from Quinton was like taking a final for a class you never bothered to show up for all semester. And then knowing you were going to have to take the grade home to your very strict father.
    "Umm, I really don't know Quinton. Antoinette of House Coeur de Lion? Of House Jones? Paige Antoinette? Antoinette, personal assistant to the most fabulous Q.J?"
    She was a little frustrated, and the last one just sort of slipped out. She braced herself and waited for a crack across her face. It had happened before. She just sort of hoped it would happen when he took her home. That was so stupid. And unnecessary. Why did she do dumb things like that...
    Ishani nods to Kira in greeting.
    "Yes, it took me by surprise as well. My evening is going fair so far. Unless that one," she points at Tammi Rose, "continues to talk, then my evening will be shot to hell if I am asked to detain her. But, work always comes first. I see your friend came as well." She says, indicating Dog.
    Ishani's phone buzzes, and she looks at the text coming in. With a smile, she closes her phone and looks back at Kira waiting for a response.
    Asa locked his iPhone and pocketed it as he saw Quentin approaching.
    Kira sighed as Ishani pointed to Tammi, "Yes, that one could certainly ruin your evening. Why would you have to detain her? For being obnoxiously, irritatingly cheerful? I would think in that case, you would want her as far away from you as possible " Kira let a shadow of a smile slip across her face. She followed Ishani's gaze to Dog, "Hmm, yes, I suppose he did. Let's hope he behaves himself."
    O-Yama looks at the Gangrel, the one who names herself Tammi. If he could bleed, his ears would be after the cacophony of words she shot out everytime she opened her mouth. Standing there, listening to her yap like an angry dog, he wanted nothing more than to take a katana and remove the annoyance's ever talking head. Moving a little closer to Ishani, but not too close as to violate her personal space, he whispers.
    "Sheriff, do you think she will have to be exterminated? If that is the case, please, I beg of you, allow me the honor of shutting her mouth."
    Ishani looks at Kira confused. "Have you not been listening to what she is saying? Spouting off about Heirophant Emma's death like that? It makes one wonder who she really is."
    Ishani watches the "Gangrel" as she continues to yammer at herself. She considers taking custody of her right now, but she decides to wait for the signal from Twist.
    Erika nods to Mrs. Scotts before she wanders off, and Erika resumes her wallflower position, sitting with her legs crossed, looking every bit the british aristocrat posing in the ruins of some ancient civilization.
    "Errrrrr...Ace..." he mumbles, eying her. Who the fuck is this chick? Ugh....Non of the smokin' hot ones come up to me....My game must be off.
    "I couldn't but noticed your impressive tattoo. Are you also a Mekhet?" Mrs. Scotts is laying it on for him.
    The gangrel smiled as the Seneschal demanded she stay. She had no intention of leaving. All the important people were here. She looked around and spotted the Sheriff, her BFF.
    Tammi Rose waved enthusiastically as she moved to stand by a column. Looking around she saw that she had managed to garner the attention of many of those in attendance. Not every look was pleasant, those who glared were met by an enthusiastic smile and wave.
    Mission 2: Make sure everyone who is anybody knows who you are. Accomplished.
    Neil laughed to himself this Tammi girl was certainly pissing off a room full of people you don't want to piss off but she barely seemed to notice. He gave the girl a smile but knew voluntarily socializing with her would be social suicide and decided to approach the seneschal instead greetings seneschal, how are you?" he says with a bow.
    Ishani's face darkens as she hears O-Yama sopeak. Turning her speed on and amping up her strength, she turns. She alams him up against the wall.
    Speaking softly and through her teeth, Ishani hisses, "You do not threaten another kindred in an Elysium or in my presence. Ever!" She pushes him a little harder into the wall to emphsize the word "ever". "Do you understand me?"
    O-Yama's beast raged at Ishani as she slammed him into the wall, the beast wanted nothing more than for him to tear her face off... but O-Yama knew better, he had overstepped his place, and should not have spoken so openly. After quelling the beast he spoke to her through clenched teeth.
    "My apologies, milady Sheriff, I meant no offence, and I did not mean for it to be a threat. I was simply voicing my disgust for her constant yapping. Again, my apologies."
    Ishani slowly lets him off the wall and curbed her temper flare.
    "It is very important that one watches what one says in this type of setting. I realize that she is irritating as fuck, but right now is not the time to express it in such a manner."
    She brushes off his shirt and smiles. "No harm, no foul my friend."
    Asa watched Ishani with a mixture of surprise and confusion. What had just happened? He noted the target of her ire with a small frown. It couldn't be about O-Yama's rash action at the Scotts residence. Asa watched her set him down, and focused again on Quentin and his friend before his irritation at O-Yama turned to anger.
    Dog watched as DC and SA noted him, but didn't move to engage them. He was crass, but he wasn't an asshole. They obviously didn't want to be seen with a Savage, and he wasn't going to... Wow. SA was fast. And strong. Faster than him. He turned back and watched the other Gangrel that was getting so much attention with curiosity. What an... interesting party...
    Quinton looked to his childe as he watched the display between the sheriff and some one eyed bandit...children....they will learn slowly
    Priscus Asa I would like to Introduce you to my Childe....
    He steps back and lets her stand to be admired and introduce herself, he had asked her to figure out her title lets se how she does.....
    Ooh! This was rapidly becoming not fun anymore. Didn't he know in proper society a third person introduced two people at a party? This SUCKED.
    She smiled weakly at Asa as she desperately tried to recall all those horrible afternoons her Mother had forced her to spend at Cotillion classes. It's a good thing she already knew this guy's name and title, because this was not going to work for every Kindred in this room. OK, here goes nothing.
    "Priscus Asa," she made a very slow and deep curtsy, "I am Miss Antoinette Coeur de Lion, childe of His Excellency, the Most Magnificent Alder Baron Senator Jones."
    She rose and looked to her sire with a grin and thought, find fault with that, I dare you.
    Tombs tried to keep his laughing outburst to himself. He didn't want offend Twist as she acknowledged the newcomers. "This women is a fucking joke but she is fucking hilarious" he thought of Tammi Rose and her claims to be Gangrel. The more he associated this women with his clan the harder it was to keep his outburst in check. "HAHAHAHAHA" Tombs broke into hardy laugh.
    Tombs heard a scuffle going on. He moved in for a closer look, witnessing the exchange between the sheriff and O-Yama. "He's a pretty clam dude, what the hell did he do to get put in his place like that" Tombs thought as lingered by the group hoping eavesdrop on the situation.
    "Yeah...I am..." Ace grumbles.
    "So this is pretty fuckin' impressive huh?" he asks, gesturing about, seeming totally unbothered by the 'sun'.
    "Yes, yes it is Mr. Ace." Mrs. Scotts gives a smile, then excuses herself.
    "A lovely party Asa, thank you for inviting me. I apologize for not having my present with me, I will get it to you soon." Mrs. Scotts gives a deep curtsy, and then leaves.
    Asa gave Quentin a curious look as he spoke. Was this what he's been up to? It's also surprising the Prince gave permission. Quite truthfully, he had also fully expected his next conversation with Quentin to be one similar to their first.
    He listened and watched the young woman while doing his best to keep a serious expression on his face. Obviously this was important to her, and more importantly, to Quentin.
    He noticed her almost challenging look to her Sire as she finished. Lion-hearted, indeed. Have fun, Quentin.
    Looking at Quentin, he said, "Thank you for the introduction, and congratulations on such an exquisite Childe." He honestly didn't know what to say, as he had never had a Childe presented to him this way... he hoped that would suffice. "I am glad to have both of you, and there is still time for Miss Couer de Lion to be acknowledged by the Seneschal."
    As he finished speaking, Ms. Scotts bid him farewell, to which he nodded and smiled.
    Dog was getting restless, and noticed a pretty redhead sitting down like a bump on a log. He walked over, and spoke to her crossed legs, "So you don't have any friends?"
    Erika smiled as the...rather rough looking man came up to her, her eyes giving him a once over. "Oh, I have friends, I'm just not much of a party person."
    Smirking he stepped forward as Asa spoke
    I have been slowly grooming her for the First Estate and tonight was a trial for her coming out party.
    Looking at the equisit box Asa had he quirks an eyebrow
    I see you have caught someone's eye, that is a nice box, I believe I know the maker of those boxes, I might have used him in the past. Interesting indeed. Well I have not introduced her to all so I will let you end your evening good sir.
    Kira went to pull Ishani off the other kindred, but Ishani had herself back under control before she could get there. Once she had Ishani's attention again, she responded to her question.
    "Yes, she could have had something to do with it. Or she could have just been passing by," Kira shrugs, "either way, she's obviously got information on the Hierophant's death. And maybe if we take her into custody, we can gag her for five minutes. Of course, when you take the gag out, she'll just keep talking."
    Ishani turns to Kira with a near snarl. "If I am dealing with a situation, Kira, stay out of it, please. And yes, that may be so, but either way I have to wait for the Seneschal's leave to touch her. One, this is an Elysium and I will not break it unless absolutely necessary. Like Mr. O-Yama's indescretion. Two, the Seneschal is still waiting on people to step forward to be acknowledged. It can wait until after that. Unless, of course, she tries to run. But I also met her earlier. Before any of this plant business ever began. I doubt she is involved."
    Ace eyes the departing Mrs. Scotts, weirdo.
    He then sees a pretty little girl that he seems to recognize, a low purr starting up.
    "Hey gorgeous," he grins as he walks by, seeing she is talking to Asa, the head of this charade.
    Twist saw Bella approaching and paused just as she was about to call out for the next clan. She dropped her voice so that she could speak to her without the entire room hearing.
    "Thank you Bella. I have already told informed her that she is to remain here until I am finished with city business. If she does attempt to leave the party, please do detain her, but until then, I don't want to inturupt Asa's party too much. Also, if you would be able to inform the Sheriff that I will be talking to her afterward, she is more than welcome to join us- your presence as well would be very welcome- I would appreciate it."
    She then resumed her prior voice.
    "Any new Ventrue?"
    Kira looked at Ishani incredulously. She had only been joking and she hadn't meant they go and tackle the Kindred in question right then and there. Would the woman ever lighten up?
    "I apologize, Sheriff Ishani. I won't get in your way, of course. If you will excuse me, I am going to," Kira groped for an excuse, "go and see how Dog is doing. I wonder how he likes Sacramento so far."
    Kira started walking towards Dog and the redhead he was talking to.
    Asa watched the exchange between the Sheriff and her Deputy, and approached after Kira left. So much for keeping the coin from spinning for one night.
    "So... I guess this is why we don't have these more often. I think I'll wrap this up after the Seneschal finishes." He showed her the box. "By the way, your Priscus sent his regards."
    Dog finally pried his eyes away from Erika's legs. "Good to have friends. Hey," he said, as Kira approached, "Looks like I have friends too." That aren't stuck up.
    "What's happenin' Deputy?"
    Kira shook her head slightly as she saw where Dog pried his eyes away from. She smiled as she approached them.
    "Hello, and please, just call me Kira. How is Sacramento treating you so far? Did you find everyone you needed to find?" She turned and addressed Erika, "and how about you? How are you liking the city so far?"
    Tammi stood against the pillar as she awaited the business to be over. She pulled out a stick of gum and began chewing it, while twirling her blonde hair between her fingers. She was growing bored. She laughed to herself about an old adage someone once said about her. "The only thing more dangerous then being locked in a room with an angry Red Dragon was being locked in a room with a bored kender or Tammi Rose." She never bothered to learn what a "kender" was mainly because it was going to be somewhere in a book. And books had become SOOOO whateva as soon as she had become embraced.
    The popping of her gum had began to grow louder. Not loud enough to drown out anyone's introduction. But loud enough to be a nuisance.
    Ishani nods to Asa.
    "That would probably be a good idea, but I think I am going to have to do my job after the party. I will meet you back at home. Then I will properly thank you for the Valentine's Text."
    The smile she gave Asa however, led him to believe it had very little to do with the text and a lot to do with seeing the sun again, even if it was only an illusion.
    Bella bows to the Seneschal. "As you wish, my Lady."
    She turns and heads back to Jason, watching the pink spot carefully as she goes.
    Erika doesn't seem too bothered by Dog's behavior, but she does stand and turn to Kira as she walks over. "It's certainly been interesting so far, although a bit more exciting than I'm used to."
    Asa grinned and nodded. Not a smile, but a grin. Like the one he had when he treed his first 'coon. He watched the Seneschal's acknowledgments and waited to announce the party was over.
    Dog laughed quietly. "Nice get-up you got there. Nope, haven't found Davis yet, to show him my stuff. Or the other person I'm looking to show."
    Paresh had had enough so he headed back to get changed, once he was done he slipped out and out the side door....things were going to get extremly interesting and he did not feel like being in the middle of the spray.
    Nicolo hears the Seneschal and steps forward. "Buona sera mia signora, il mio nome è Nicolo Giovanni Rossi e io vengo da clan Ventrue, alleanza Lancea Sanctum. Ma poi sai già che, sì?
    A shiver runs down her spine as Ace walks past her, too close, and says something rather crass for a gathering such as this. Antoinette is incredulous. He's one of them. One of us! She moves as close a she can to Quinton, so Ace can see who she's there with. Oh my god, please don't let him come over and talk to me like he knows me. Not in front of Quinton.
    She hears the Seneschal call for Ventrue to be introduced, here's Nicolo speak, where she picks out "Ventrue" and "Invictus" and figures he must also be new, so she follows him up and also introduces herself. "Lady Seneschal, I am Miss Antoinette Coeur de Lion, childe of His Excellency, The Most Fabulous Alder Baron Senator Jones."
    Ha ha, this was getting pretty funny. I bet he wouldn't leave her to her own devices ever again!
    Kira waited for Antoinette to finish announcing herself before she spoke again.
    She smiled at Dog's compliment, "Thank you, Dog. Well, I hope you find him-and he likes your fighting. I'm fairly new to Sacramento myself. But, yes, it is an interesting city. I like it so far. So, what are your plans for later this evening?"
    Ishani noticed a face walk by that she recognized. With a large smile, she walks over to Ace and slides an arm around his shoulders.
    "Hey sexy, where the hell have you been?"
    She had not seen this kindred in what seemed like decades and probably was, but damn it was good to see him again.
    Dog tried very hard not to lick his lips. "Hey, you know, just like our first night. I'm going wherever you're going."
    "Sig. Giovanni-I è stato, credo, ignaro della vostra fedeltà Ventrue. Ma, sì, lei ha ragione in questo sono molto consapevoli della vostra vocazione Sanctum. Sono sicuro che il Vescovo è sollevato di vedervi tornare incolume da eventi della altri notte. Confido che lei ha già parlato con il suo relativo alla città regole.
    Welcome, Miss Antoinette Coeur de Lion to Sacramento. If your sire has not already informed you of the rules of the city your priscus is Asa."
    She waited a few more seconds to see if any more Ventrue would step forward.
    "Are there any new Daeva with us tonight?"
