The Gardener. Such a terrible threat and a terrible thing, and an inappropriate name. This Eternal Sentry must not be a Cahalith. He looks to the two older Urdaga. Not only was the threat looming, and potentially devastating, it also shared a border with the exact pack whose Alpha they were meeting with. The sturdy, grizzled looking Mennina looked like he probably had an ace up his sleeve.

It's clear to the small assembled group of wolves that the Jeep was speeding as it approached the street nearest to the Tur and was still speeding until almost the moment it halts on the closest street to the Tur with the sound of rubber tires squealing. Not even a second seems to pass before the Jeep's engine is turned off and both the driver's side and passenger's side doors open to reveal a pair of young people. From the driver's side exits a young woman with blond hair and a toned body that manages to look sexy yet contain enough lithe muscles to give a sense of power. From the passenger's side door exits a young man who looks around the same age as the woman, his frame presses against his clothes as if he has recently added some muscle of his own and forgotten to buy new clothes.
The young man walks just to the right of the woman as they approach the small gathering, walking with speed and purpose to cover the distance. Alison Yates and Matt Kelly stop near the group and greet the others with respectful and friendly nods. Their faces are covered in sweat, their clothes almost drenched with perspiration. Seems like something had happened over on the Eastern Front.

Matthew is about respond when he spots the jeep approaching. As the occupants disembark, he studies them for a moment, concern showing on his face. "Alison, Matt. Glad you could make it, but ... what's happened?"

Alison grinned at the question like she knew some sort of secret. Then nonchalantly spoke.
"Not much. We just rescued a pack of pure from a group of Magath on the bridge between HOG's territory and the north." She stopped for a bit to give them a chance to react and to gauge their responses.
"Oscar's pack was in the middle of fighting so we helped eliminate the magath. Then had a few words tense words. It looks like the pure had dealt with it and they blame us for waking the thing in the river up. I assume they mean when we restored the hisil. If that's the case, then there might have been a reason behind the destruction of it in the first place. We came to see what else everyone uncovered and see where we can go from here."
Digger leaned back on his bike as he watched more of The People arrive, "Oscar huh?" Digger said, he wanted to say, you sound pretty chummy for talking to the Anshega. But he didn't, honor the high, one must honor the high.

Starflower was slightly distressed to see his friend Matt show up the way he did. He hadnt ever met Allison before, but when she starts talking about the Pure, Digger got all twitchy. Now, it wasnt noticeable; Digger probably didnt even know he fucking did it. But that was part of being in a pack, part of being closer to that pissed off biker than to any family member or one night stand in his life. While Starflower had know idea why it set Digger off, he knew he wasnt all that thrilled at the current moment. Fred knew little of the Pure themselves, other than the basic sort of facts and how his own tribal totem cares very little for the workings of its siblings.
He, just as unconciously as Digger, just as protectively as any normal wolf in the wild, moves closer to his packmate. Not much morre than an inch or two, but that inch said alot. It said Im here if shit hits the fan, and a host of other things. He looks to Matt, and remembers that bright Full Moon with Jordan. "Matt, sup? You been well?'

Matt wasn't shocked to see Fred here, the Full Moon had made an good impression on him when they'd helped that guy Jordan learn the basics about his new life after his first change. He'd gotten the impression back then that Fred was the type to lend a paw wherever it was needed, so it was a natural fit for him to be here trying to foster an exchange of information. "I've been alright, good to see you Fred" he replies with a bit of weariness in his voice "so I take it from everyone's presence here that we've got a serious Magath problem."

At Alison's words, an image flashes through Matthew's mind: his parents brutally murdered, the wolf staring back at him with bloody maw. At one time, that memory would have triggered a fiery hate. Now, what was the point? He'd sundered two pack bonds in pursuit of that vengeance and found it empty, meaningless. And it took a wolf's death to show my mistake.
The Cahalith turns to Alison, his face grave. "If the Anshega fight the Magath, then you were right to aid them. I've had dreams about their master that chilled me to the bone. But suppressing the Hisil itself was too great a price." And slaying Father Wolf? Matthew bats the thought aside angrily. That necessity should be beyond question.
"The Magath are pawns, often shaped against their will. It is the thing in the river that controls them and is the true menace. It lies west of the Capitol Building, seeking to spread its taint."
"Then we should gather our people and move on them. Cut this snakes head clean off." Digger said with confidence in his voice. Digger was, to be honest, unsure why the seekers hadn't moved on them already. If Digger knew where the leader of the enemy forces were held up he would make a move on the. Or at least start cutting off its supply chains.

"Do we have any practical way to combat something underneath the water?" Starflower says. Ill hold off on mentioning explosives....for now. Still, though...he was having a hard time coming up with an idea that would fit the purpose. His bow and arrows probably would be ineffective, and he doubted if anyone had any guns that could reach The Gardener.
