Several times through the commotion, Faith was this close, thiiiis close, to speaking out. To get some calm around here? Heh, you wish. To raise a little hell would be more accurate. Through sheer force of will, she holds back those biting little comments and ill-placed remarks, staying remarkably quiet (for her anyway). Spartan's question is just what she needs to vent it away. "Order?," she says, sarcastically, in his ear. "I don't do f**king order, TinCan."
She mulls it over for a few seconds, her mouth twisting to show distate. Pure, complete distaste for the 'task'. She could be useful out there. Really, she could! "Fine," she says, grudgingly. Boy would she loooove to argue about it, right then and there. But there would be time for that later. "I'll try not to burn down the f**king place while you're gone. And I ain't doing it because you asked."
"Yes Faith, You are more then Welcome to hold it against me later." Spartan said respectfully. Spartan handed her the club and made his way over to the Winters and to Nightfall. "I would Like to accompany you as well." Spartan said. It wasn't as much a question as a statement looking for an invitation.
The glass of whiskey is still more than half full when he puts it down on the bar, fixes any creases or issues with his very handsome suit and causally makes his way to where his friend Kaito and the others had gathered. He looks at the faces of the group and then to his friend. "My dear friend Kaito if you are going looking for your Queen I shall insist on joining you."

Kaito smiles at Spartan. "Thanks, I appreciate the help." Turning to patrick she laughs "As if you had a choice."
She turns back to Bert. "Ok Bert, there are two things we need to discuss it tonight. So let me start by stating the obvious and getting it out of the way. In the worst case scenaro.... one of us will have to be ready to become the winter king or queen. We have no other option, our hands are tied. The second order of business is to find our queen, now I know she owns an antique shop and that was to be my first stop off point. I need to know what you know so I can find her. You can then either join us or go into hiding its up to you, but I am going looking for her."

Juno's squirming stomach wasn't improving, so she decided that since there had been a dismissal she could slip out and take care of the situation. It would be most unseemly to vomit in front of everyone. Dignity must be maintained.
Maybe it was all the alcohol -- and other things -- rattling around in an empty stomach, or perhaps she had endured the stress of sharing space with a lot of people and Bert in particular longer that she should have.
As she made her way to the restroom, she paused and gave Bert a look.
It was not a friendly one.
Yes, well, pin your hopes on that jackass. He'll bail on you too.
Without a word she continued walking towards the facilities where she could deal with her own situation in peace.

The Constable of Calefaction moves into position behind Harvey and prepares to move the Sun Banisher to the Hollow Commons, as ordered. Looking at the Legate, Marcus decides he is glad that his fellow Elemental will be helping him on this one. Nodding to Rick and Al-Adin, the Marcus signals that he is ready to escort the Winter Courtier whenever they are.
Doctor Jack
With HAL's announcement, Jack assumes that his guard duty is over, and abandons his position by the doors. Approaching his big friend, he glances at Queen White. Of course, he will help Bert find his own Queen. That's what friends do... they help each other out. It will be just like old times. He smiles encouragingly at his buddy as he waits by his side.
Bert Godwinn
Bert nods to Kaito, the shadow of a smirk barely visibly at one corner of his mouth. The ice-blue Ogre likes the newest Winter Courtier's "take charge" attitude. However, he can also guess upon just whose frosty head the Snowskin envisions the Crown should be resting. He shakes his head slightly in amusement at the thought that she thinks that she can really fill Katrin Byeli's shoes so easily? Bert knows what he must do. He must find Katrin before his Season turns to Spring. Otherwise, the cycle will be broken and the Freehold will be laid bare to the Gentry.
"I think you have that backwards. First, we have to find Queen Byeli. Second... we have to find Queen Byeli. If the Crown wouldn't recognize Harvey, the next highest ranking member of our Court, as worthy to wear it...do you really think either of us has got a snowball's chance in hell?"
Feeling her gaze, Bert looks up and meets Juno's icy stare with one of his own. The manticoress turns away too soon to see the Sorrow hidden in his heart like a diamond at the bottom of a frozen pond. He hadn't wanted to break things off with her, but he knew he had to. He had to resign himself to the fact that they could never be together. The burden of pain was his alone to bear. Better to break her heart a little now than to destroy it in the future. She is Spring, after all. Bert knows that she will find Desire anew and leave her Sorrow behind just as Spring moves forward, leaving Winter in its flowering wake. And so, the cycle turns... or at least, it's supposed to.

And so it came to pass that Winter did not quite come to pass and the politics of the Seasons and Solstices struggle on with new and old forced to work together in a mystery of some magnitude.
