Dagwood's Sandwich Shoppe (ATTN: Ezekiel Rashnu)

Almost two hours had passed since Zachary had spoken with Ezekiel on the phone. Thanks to the modern nights refresher course that Iskander and Alexa provided him with before he left Chicago, Zachary was able to catch a cab to the sandwich shoppe. Zachary chuckled to himself at the use of the superfluous British 'pe' attached to the end of "shop"...it had long been the practice of American's to make things sound fancier or more appealing by using archaic spellings or old timey store front shingles.

Zachary opened the front door to the restaurant and strolled inside. He scanned the place from left to right looking for anyone who might stand out to him...or anyone to whom his beast might react.

Ezekiel had cheated and taken the underground route here, he made it in forty five minutes, he was seated in the back Hood up, black gauze cowl covering his face that he knew no mortal could stand to look at, hands sheethed in tight lether gloves that looked to be about elbow length dissappeared into the sleaves of his long trench coat. Which covered the lether pants that tucked into his calf high Dr. Martins, with Azure laces. He had a cup of coffee infront of him and a bowl of Tomato soup infront of him. The door opened and Ezekiel felt the beast wash over him he shuddered at the beast strong but not as strong as him. He leaned back and waited for the man to approach him.

Zachary notices the cowled individual sitting in a sandwich shop in the middle of the night and figures that he has found his contact.

"Mr. Rashnu I presume?"

Zachary says as he approaches the table and extends his hand to the hooded figure.

Ezekiel extends his hand and when Zachery takes it he feels the bones under the glove shifting as if shaking the hand of a biology skeleton, it is unnerving at best

At this point in time, more than anything, I could use some housing accomidations...in the Chapter House perhaps...if that is possible. I still do not have much in the way of money or connections yet...that will take some time to establish, but until then I need to keep the sun off of my shoulders. Also, I am interested in studying the Fontal Rituals. I am also interested in coming to greater understanding of the terror.

I can help with the Rites, and we have a couple that can help terrify you. As for lodging the chapter house has a couple rooms. We also have some areas in the catacombs that we can show you as well? Oh pardon would you like some Soup? Try the Tomato its the best...

I would prefer to not stay in the catacombs...actually, the room that is furthest off of the ground would be the most preferable.

The "TOMATOE" is really good for you, you should try some....As to the accomodations, our chapter house is not that large, it only has one floor. I hope this will not be a problem.

I would, however, be interested in making whatever contributions that I can in order to see the Chapter House grow that the Academy might benefit. For instance, is there a library, or have the necessary Geomantic steps for a Nexus been taken? How many Dragon's are supported through this Academy?"

All of that in good time, we have an adequate library, we have 10 Dragons in the city as of now, we have control over 3 Areas of Intrest...

At that you can tell he is looking around..almost as if looking for others about

Zachary smiles politely and looks around for a waiter or employee of some kind. When he makes eye contact with one he smiles and makes a slight hand gesture indicating that he is ready to order.

Zachary turns back to Ezekiel.

"So, what will I have to do in order to become Acknowledged here? Will I meet with a Seneschal, or with the Prince directly? I plan on remaining here on a combination of my Oath-Sworn duties, and my ongoing studies into The Great Work, for likely quite some time...so I figure that Acknowldgement will be necessary."

Ezekiel slides the bowl to the side of the table and waits for the waitress to come take the orders and leave, taking the spent dishes with her

We will contact the Seneschal and she has the authority to grant you rites. Also our....leader...is a tad weird he likes the friday the thirteenth thing so demands a party, I do believe we are having one soon, we should be able to run into the Seneschal thier. And Shadow will want to meet you as well, she leads your order.

~NARRATION~

The wiatress returns with a large bowl of soup, and two cups of the darkest coffee he has ever seen. The soup smells strongly of fresh vitae, with a hint of tomato, fresh pepper and fresh Garlic

"Hmmm...interesting indeed." Zachary says as he gingerly raises a spoonfull to his lips. After tasting the substance he smacks his tongue a couple of times in the way that a Sommelier might after tasting a draught of fine wine. "Quite interesting!" he says in a very pleased tone. "My compliments to the chef." Zachary chuckles at his own comment as he examines this, the blackest of coffee. Inhaling deeply of any odor it might possess, he simultaneously casts his eyes upward at Ezekiel and casts a curious look as if to say "What is it?"

"What a treat! Have you come to stay? We could really use another Onyx, believe me. I have been surrounded by Azure and Crimson for so long now, I almost forgot what it was like to match wits with a fellow scholar."

Shadow laughs, but waves the notion away. "Yes, that may be so, but we have just recently opened a museum and are having to conserve funds for a little while. Also, a lot of our members stay outside of the Chapter House, so it is pretty vacant other the myself and a few others. It would be nice to have some company."

She looks at him, thinking. "I do not think under the Chapter House will be an option for you anyway. It is a but cluttered down there at the moment. So, what brought you to us in the first place?"
