Venessa and Jody wandered through the strip mall near where Joe was having his moment of stupidity. They waited for Joe to call saying he needed back-up. As they were women, it was not difficult for them to begin their conversation with the one thing they had in common........men.
"I just don't know how to deal with it. My last partner was a complete ass and never did anything to help me out. Hell, half the time I was the one writing the reports so he could go out and get his next piece. But Joe isn't like that. And he's so damn cute when he's angry. Too bad he has that girl at home, oh yeah and he's my partner."
She sighs in resignation, looking in yet another window and not seeing anything that peaked her interest.
"Sometimes, I hate being a cop. It limits your choices, you know?"

Jody listened as Vanessa chatted on about Joe and thought to herself about the abundance of men she had been with in her life "You know my problem isn't the finding the men it's getting them to keep my satisfied and interested" Jody let out a sigh and continued "Now Billy he seemed to be one that could have kept my interest for more than a week." with that comment Jody became quiet and thought back to the two times she had been out with him "Then again I didn't know him that well so who knows I may have gotten bored by the end of the night."

Jody looks from Vanessa to Joe "So you go to a basement or where ever it was you went and some random voice tells you that he will take care of it and you are just going to leave it at that and if we there is another murder you know he was just some joker and if there isn't what you take him at his word... WOW no wonder you couldn't find anything out about Billy you are a rocket scientist's here."
Jody turns to leave the store fuming from what she just heard a lot of her anger stemmed from not having answers about Billy and this just kinda set it off she looked back over her shoulder and spoke to Vanessa "I'm sorry Vanessa I really did have a nice time chatting with you maybe we can do it again sometime." anger still in her eyes she storms out of the store to start to walk down the street.

Joe sighs. "Wait." He calls out to Jody as she's about to leave the store.
"Hang on. Did I ever say I was going to stop searching? A guy talked to me in a radio. Big deal. We get to hunt this guy down. Frankly, we've been chasing ghosts day in and on this case for the past month. We could use all the help we could get. Whether it be from a voice over the speakers or a smart woman on the line, I don't particularly care. If the cashier in their went and told me the bad guy was on the I street bridge I'd be going in my car and heading over there. Ask Vanessa, she'll tell you all about the ghosts and issues we've got on this case."
Joe looked as his partner giving her the "back me up on this one." eyes.

Venessa shrugs, looking very uncomfortable and giving Joe the "we are not supposed to be telling her shit" look.
"I'm afraid he's right, Jody. And the worst part about all of this is, Billy is a ghost too. I'm serious. I will give you everything we have on him and get you permission to continue with the investigation. The guy doesn't exist and neither does the Autopsy Killer. We have tried everything we can think of, every avenue of information we can find. All of them have led to dead ends."
She glances a Joe, but continues anyway.
"No one said we were giving up. We are just trying to follow every lead we have. And those are few and far between, I promise you."

Jody lets her anger subside just a little and looks from Joe to Vanessa and then decides she would give it another shot with the two of them "All right then let's chat tell me what you know and we can go from there... maybe a fresh set of eyes and ears will help."
