Ishani sat in her room and wondered if Asa had thought any more about her suggestion of joining the Invictus. She was not positive if going to Icarus was the best idea for her, however. Maybe Davis would be a better approach. As a Soldier of the First Estate, he would understand her position much better then Icarus or Lioni.
So, she pulled out her phone and gave Davis a buzz, hoping he would not be too busy to speak with her briefly.

"All right, I will be there in a few."
She hangs up, gets into her car and heads to Avalon.
When she arrives, she is waved through by the door man and makes her way to Davis' office. Knocking softly, she enters, closes the door and has a seat at the chair in front of his desk.
"You know I am not one to mince words, so I will just get to the point. I want to join the Invictus."

Why the sudden change? You have been independent so long most thought you would never pick a place to call home

Ishani shrugs. "Yeah I know, but let's face it Davis, Prince Freddrick isn't going to be around forever and if another covenent takes control those of us that don't have a home are going to be pushed aside for more established kindred. What I have done for this city may make a difference to you and Karsh, but I doubt it will hold much weight with say one of the heads of the covenents. I just think now is the time, and the Invictus is where I feel safest."

Ishani rolls her eyes. "Why is it that everyone thinks just because someone is being cautious it means they know something? I have heard nothing to suggest Freddrick's position is in trouble. However, I cannot trust that he will hold the throne for as long as I exist, now can I? So, I need to find a home. And, to be perfectly honest with you, I feel Asa needs to find a home as well. Since the Invictus would fit him like a glove, I felt he could use the moral support that I can give by joining them myself. Although, it was a consideration before he and I became intimate, it has become a priority for me since then."

nodding he smiles, she does have a point...now how many would wonder if the Invictus are going to make this push...the sheriff, the hound, a Harpy, massive amounts of people in power are Invictus...just like it should be

She gives him a bow of respect and then takes her leave.
