 Charunetrah "Char" Sastra

Charunetrah, or as some call “Char”, has been around for quite a while. When she was born sometime in the 1720’s, she was left at the doorstep of her adopted family’s house in Chandigarh, India. She was given her name, Charunetrah Sastra (In Sanskrit meaning beautiful eyed weapon), for her vibrant red hair, bright green eyes, and pale freckled skin. People knew that she was not of this country and were frightened. However, her parent’s loved her and took care of her as if she was their own.
The other children of the city were not so. Though she was quite petite, she scared some and was constantly teased by others. She had few friends and was commonly in trouble for letting her temper get the best of her. Bruises and bite marks were normally found on the teasing children the next day. She never quite fit in. As she grew up, her beauty enhanced, as did her reclusion.
One night she was walking in the Smriti Upavan Garden, thinking about her parent's recent and sudden death, when she met a man. He looked lost and she decided that she should help. He too did not look like he belonged from this area. He was very pale and his blue eyes entranced her. She was not used to seeing another who did not have the normal darker shade of skin and eyes. His name was Adamo and he told her he was from Italy. They talked all night and found that they had a lot in common. The next thing she remembered was waking up in a lavish apartment in the city of Milan, Italy with Adamo’s eyes blaring into her own.
She was then told what happened to her. He had turned her. Adamo was obsessed with her beauty and could not leave her. He was a covenant member of the Circle of the Crone and she was initiated soon after.
In 1749, she was noticed by Ambassador Count Giacomo Durazzo, an Italian diplomat, and fellow vampire and member of the Circle. He was from a very old and prominent family. He was famous for working with the composer Christoph Willibald Gluck on reforming the Italian Opera. He was a lover of beautiful art and was mesmerized by Char’s angelic beauty and soon took her under his wing. Adamo soon disappeared and she knows nothing of his whereabouts.
Since then she has been living in Milan, working for the Circle of the Crone and the Count. She rarely speaks of her past and can be relatively secretive. She loves the Opera and other forms of art. Char has an extremely watchful eye and has a peculiar sense of what makes other people happy.
