Joe decides that he's had enough of doing this by the book. He's going to find this guy, and he's going to do it now.
So he heads home with the picture.
"Honey, I was hoping you could help me with something from work." He calls out from the driveway.
"I swore i'd never bring work home, but the driveway isn't techinically home..." he rationalizes to himself
When she comes over, he hands her the picture of the perp. "This is the guy whose been keeping me away from your loving arms. If you don't recognize him, perhaps you could tell me what country of origin he seems to be. Korean, Laotian, Japanese, Chinese..."

She looks at the picture for a long time. Then, she turns the picture sideways and looks at it again, then the other direction. Then she nods as if she has come to some conclusion.
Handing the picture back to him, she says in a very confident voice. "This man is Japanese, and young too. I would say maybe 16 or 17, but no older then 19. He seems to be Americanized though. If you look at his hair cut, you can see it was definitly done here and he probably grabbed the style a few years ago. But he is definitly japanese."
She smilles at him. "And I don't mind helping you with your job, babe. But you so owe me dinner for this one. And a nice dinner too. I don't want to end up at Pizza Hut like we did the last time."
