Well, the thing is, the only vampire he's been around for any length of time is his sire. He doesn't really see kindred as anything other than people with cool powers that have a really active nightlife. It just never occurred to him that they might be petty, angsty, violent creatures with cool powers. He's also working under the very flawed assumption that vampires feel a sort of camaraderie similar to his Marine unit.
I'm just wondering how long it will take for him to be properly educated.
