 A Note on STATUS in the VtR game.....

Status is a very powerfull tool and if used correctly by all players should show the way your actions and reactions affect your unlife. As your character learns status within the city, please bare this in mind when dealing with characters that you have learned thier standing in the City, Clan, or Covenant and your place with-in each as well.
How do we determine Status?
In a Status thread that effects your character your current Status will be added to the public status opinion of all posters. IF your thread gets more then 3 votes from others that fall in the same grouping then your status MAY change.
There are two types of Status the type you share with others (Public) and the type you share with those trusted to you (Private)
Public carries more weight, but Private could swing it in one direction or another.
How does it Change?
Example follows:
Jack the Ventrue has Clan status of 2
George Public 4 Private 2
Carl Public 4 Private 0
Dan Public 1 Private 4
Private
2+0+4=6/3=2
Finale status is 2 (Starting)+4 (George)+4 (Carl)+1 (Dan)+2 (Private)/5=2.6 which would then be rounded to 2.5.
Jack's Ventrue Clan Status just increased to 2.5 until the next thread is started.
Now remember that Harpy's and Priscus can spend thier Status to Raise or Lower your status without this method so always watch for this kind of thing.

Things to note
If you have two characters in the same Clan/Covenant you cannot give yourself status.
This rule should not effect the outcome of city status since the entire city will have a voice.
Also...
If the thread for your characters status does not get at LEAST three different voices it will not be changed.
So please help us help your character by taking the time to do the status posts for others.
