Ash looked at the address he had been given. He had a cab drop him off a few blocks away and walked the rest of the way. He had already apparently almost broken the masquerade, he wouldn't want to piss off his entire order by somehow slighting them and taking a cab to the doorstep.
He looked at the chapter house and walked up to the door. He was about to knock...

Shadow opened the door with a smile. "Ash, so glad to see you decided to come after all. Please come in."
She moved out of the doorway and stepped aside for him to enter. The foyer was done in mostly cherry wood panneling on the walls and wood planks for the floor. It was furnished in soft brown leather chairs and a couch. The foyer led to a long hahllway with a number of doors on either side.
"Please, follow me." Shadow led him into a library (third door on the right). Floor to ceiling bookshelves and all full of books. A large table with chairs similer to those in the foyer were the only furniture. A large rug with red and gold designs dominated the floor of this room.
"Have a seat." Shadow said, motioning to a chair as she took one for herself.

"I do love the quaint settings, much better than a party. I miss the days when I could have a nice glass of cognac, or port wine and a cigar. Now I have to settle for a glass of blood and an unrewarding cigarette.
Thanks for having me over on such short notice. I guess I mainly wanted to chat to get a feel for the city, as well as a general state of affairs, and offer my services to the Dragons."

Ash stands to greet Ezekiel.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Ezekiel. My name is Ash, formerly of the New York Dragons, and it is an honor to join you here in Sacramento. I am at your service"
Ash does a slight bow of the body and a deep nod of the head.

Jason found his way to the chapter house. He parked on the street, a little ways down. He wasn't sure if there would be anyone here, but the lights were on. After cautiously making his way to the door, Jason rang the bell.

Rahyna left the theater and went home. A few days later she went to the chapter house she didn't feel like being alone at the moment so she thought she would go by and see if Shadow needed any more help getting the new dragons settled in.
As she reached the door she saw a new dragon standing there what was his name ohh yes Jason.
"Jason I believe it was I am Rahyna please come in" She said as she opened the door and gave him a quick glance over her shoulder.

Shadow tried not to cringe as she felt Ezekiel coming down the hall and then enter the room.
She stood, and did a slight bow in deference to the Head of the Dragons.
She opened her mouth to intorduce Ash, but he was already there. Oh good, a man who knows how to speak for himself. I like him already.
She motions to a chair for Ezekiel and returned to her seat.
Turning to Ash she asks, "What aspect of the Dragons are you currently involved in? I can assume you are not Sworn or you would have introduced yourself as such? Are you interested in becoming Sowrn or do you have other interests to occupy your time?"

He had fun tracking down those he could who had been involved, but all he ever came across were mortal. He knew there was a Kindred behind it all, but he was never able to find out who

"Thanks ma'am. It's good to meet you as well." Jason stepped aside as she opened the door, only to see another. . .person at the door. He was sure that it was a vampire, but the beast made not a peep.
Offering his hand to the stranger, Jason says, "My name is Jason. I'm new in town, in more ways than one. I moved out here because my sire suggested it. She had good things to say about the Sacramento chapter of our order."

Rahyna gave Ezekiel a smile along with a shudder at the feeling of dread he was giving her "I came by to offer my assistance in getting all the people settled if I am needed and when I arrived Jason here was standing at the door already."

As if on cue, Marius entered the chapter house.
"Good evening Ezekiel, just the man I was looking for, and Mrs. Rahyna."
He stepped towards the group, the calmness emanating from Marius clashing with the almost frightening aura of Ezekiel.
"I don't believe we've met," Marius said to Jason, "my name is Mars Delven."
He just barely managed to suppress a shudder, as the memory of the face, now shrouded by the hood, combined with the aura of dread washed over him as he came closer, and extended a hand in greeting to each of them.

Noticing that Ezekiel wasn't making any move to shake his hand, and frankly getting freaked out by his presence, Jason withdrew his hand.
He did however, take Marius's hand and shook it. "I'm Jason Stanton, and I recognize you. I seem to recall seeing you make a scene about seeing the Prince. I can't see why anyone would want to myself, but you know, different strokes and all that."

Rahyna stifled a laugh at Jason's comment nothing like pointing out someones embarassing moments I guess she looked at Ezekiel "That sounds like a good idea to me, the library you said right?"
Rahyna makes her way down the hall making sure to avoid any contact with Ezekiel but she leans over and speaks to him in barely above a whisper "why don't you fling your death somewhere else I came here to get away from that feeling not roll around in it again" she gave him a smile like a sister would give her brother after talking him into rolling around in the mud knowing he would get in trouble for it.
Rahyna continues walking down the hall toward the library door her smile never faltering.

She looks uo at Ezekiel. "Tjhe Crimson Knight may wish to be informed, even if he chooses not to come."

Ash is visibly annoyed, but paints on a forced smile.
"Good evening Mars, and I remember seeing you, but I heard so many names tonight. I am Ash." motioning towards Jason and extending his hand for a handshake.

"Aah, the young one is here too. Ash was it?" With a warm smile he looked at all the gathered Dragons, completely ignoring Ash's obvious annoyance.
"And good evening, lady Shadow." His intonation of 'lady' was such that it was playful and not too formal. He gave her a hand-kiss, noting again how freezing her hands were on his lips; he liked it in a strange way.

Ash almost smiles thinking of Ezekiel crying behind his dry bones.
"I said it before, but I am honored Ezekiel." Ash was very serene and honest in his bow.
"Not that it will sway me from being here, but I have not heard about our recent past."

Shadow frowned. What was with these two?
"This is my library and I have invited you all into it under the assumption that you all could play nice. Do not make me recind my hospitality."
Her tone was flat and low. She would not have this kind of infighting in the chapter house. If they wanted to argue, they could do it somewhere else.
She stepped away from Ezekiel as he preceeded to show his true visage. Granted, she had helped to make that visage more potent, but she was a slave to the whims of her master, was she not? And as it stood now, that master was Ezekiel.
She claimed a new chair, further from Ezekiel's towering form. "We have a very colorful past here, it has cuased our ranks to stay low. I fear the worst is not over yet. There are still more horrors to experience before this city can be truely reborn anew."

Marius frowned at Ash's remark, as he hadn't thought his greeting could be twisted in such a way. Then again, he only assumed Ash to be younger due to his thickness of blood and, he admitted to himself, his young attitude.
He would have to talk to Ash alone after this meeting and discern what his problem was. Having thick blood between two members in such a small covenant was never a good thing.
He took a seat in one of the comfortable chairs, and listened attentively to Ezekiel's introduction and Shadows history summaryzation, as he himself had not been here long enough to hear all the details.
