Jessica had been a loyal retainer, employee, friend, and lover to Stone Thorn over the last few years. She had written many articles for Occult literature magazines under his non de plume during times when his duties to the Adamantine Arrows kept him unable to meet deadlines. Lately that had been a lot. He paid her well for it too but she'd rather him be safe. Of his three current books, its most likely safe to assume that atleast 20% of the books at any given time had her handywork attached to it.
Their relationship had always been very open. They remained friends even during times when they weren't "dating" and other partners were involved. Fate always seemed to bring them back together. She understands his main reason to not commenting fully is her lack of not being fully awakened. He fears for her safety and the dangers that come with the knowledge and power of the Supernal Worlds. She hoped that one day the Watchtowers would allow her to sign her name upon them and allow her to finally be with him.
Now she packs her suitcase to head to Sacramento. Paperwork finalized on the latest book. Sales should be able to keep them afloat for several months before they needed to look into any random articles. Beyond Investigation Magazine and Narratives of the Weird both had been trying to get interviews with Mr Wilds. She was running out of excuses to delay things but still keep their interest.
She looked over at the other boxes in the corner. Living out of suitcases was starting to frustrate her. She hadnt even unpacked things from the last move in San Diego. She sighed lightly to herself snapping the lock shut on the suitcase.
