Ok from what I have learned we have some members who like to watch lost. I know I love to theorize and look for the subtlties so I thought those of us who did and wanted some off topic discussion we could kick things around here.
As a disclaimer once the show airs its liable to be talked about so if, and this would include myself on some nights, you have not watched it you might not want to read past this point until you do.
So What did you think? I thought it was great and West and I have already kicked some ideas back and forth.
All I can really say is I called the Compass way back when.

Well, the other thing that still bugs me is Hurley. So, Desmond is the Man Who Can Change History and exists outside of Time's laws. What's Hurley? And the Numbers? Is Hurley the Supernal radio receiver?

Well I was wondering if there some spatio-temporal coordinates for the island's location that it broadcasts.
As far as real world go, they *are* the Valenzetti Equation numbers.

I don't think that Desmond is outside of time- rather that he spans time. I think he is actually stuck in time but at all the points (past, present and future) he has connections to the island or people on the island.
Now there is still something funky about him- I mean he did have the visions of the future for a while there. (Strangely those seem to have died off...)
On another note- was that priestess/scientist lady the one who he had a run in right after the bomb? The one who sold him the ring and commented on a dude's red shoes?
Also....I called the Lock being the dead one!! Okay, I know that is from an epi way back when but I totally just watched it today.

You know, I still like the show, buuuuuuut now that that we know what the island is (a real place, Purgatory, etc), I'm less inclined to watch it. I also can't believe no one ever killed BL or JL.
Does that make me a bad person?

I am of the theory that on the Island you can't kill certain people. But if somebody were to gun for BL while not thier I think he would end up like JL, I just hope they follow whatever rules they set up for thier time jumping...thats my only problem with Time....

Yeah...but we knew that from like season 2/3. The producers came out and said that the island was in fact a physical place and not purgatory etc.
