 Mage: The Awakening Character Creation Rules

Experience Allowences
A) Disciple (Beginner) - 0-60 experience or less
A Beginner character is recommended for those who are not well versed in this venue. Beginner characters may be established in the city.
Beginner characters may not have restricted items, and they do not require a background. However all characters must be submitted to the venue ST before IC posting may begin.
B) Adept (Mainstream) - 61-160 experience
A mainstream character is older and more experienced then a Beginner character. This type of character may have lived in the city for a long time or may have an extensive background in another city.
Mainstream characters may have restricted items, but they also require a background and ST approval.
Experience Distribution
Only %45 of your character creation experience may be used to purchase supernatural advantages. This would include: Blood Potency, Gnosis, Primal Urge, and Wyrd. It also includes: Disciplines, Arcana, Gifts, and Contracts. If more then %45 of your character creation experience is allocated to these supernatural advantages, your character will be denied.
Restrictions:
- Starting Gnosis at a maximum of 4
- Starting Arcana at a maximum of 4
- No Banisher or Seer characters
- - No Merits or Items associated with either
- No Merit: Long Shifting (TotW)
- No Legacy: Celestial Masters
- No Left-Handed Legacies, or nearly Left

Only one Mage mainstream is allowed per player. If a player wishes to have multiple characters, all others must be beginners.
We currently do not have a Mage character submission form, so please PM your Mage to Kai or West.

Elder Creation restrictions (We are not accepting Elders at this time)
- More then one Arcana at 5 (please confer with ST on this rule if there are any questions)
- Starting Gnosis higher than 5
Please confer with the Mage ST or Moderator regarding your concept.
Have a clearly detailed Nimbus in mind for your Mage.
~~Rule Amendment~~
NOT Using:
Optional Rule: Spatial Command (TotM)
Optional Rule: Temporal Command (TotM)
Optional Rule: To The Limit (TotM)
Rote "dots" may be exchanged for Merit "dots" on a 2-for-1 basis. Merit dots obtained by exchanging rote dots are intended to allow characters who took 3 dots of Gnosis to have some more leeway to purchase Merits to flavor their character. They are not intended to buy a fourth dot of Gnosis, and may not be used to do so.
Starting play with a Legacy will require 12 XP. This XP can be represented as either a Legacy Mentor 3, or as Legacy XP paid that Mentor, or both.
MET: Awakening Precast system is used to begin play with Imbued Items or Active spells (allocate Gnosis x Stamina successes).
~~Character Customization~~
Please place any of your active spells in your signature for that character.
Example: Kuan-(Active spell 1, Active spell 2, active spell 3)Stirking Looks 2, any other physical notations, Maria-(Active Spell 1, Active spell 2) any other physical notations, ect. ect.

Excess Experience
There is no excess experience. If you create a character using any of the experience tiers and you do not use all of the available experience, that XP does NOT carry over. Once the character is approved and the player begins posting for that character, then any experience that was not used during character creation is gone.
It cannot be carried over and used later on to add to any experience given for the month.
So, please make sure you have useed the amount of experience you are either alloted or you wish to have on your character before it is submitted.
