It had been several long days. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that being a principle is easy, it isn’t. Dealing with funding issues and trouble students all day could drive anyone crazy. It would have driven him crazy if not for the personal project he was working on.
Kids had been going missing for the past three weeks. Never from the same district twice but often enough that, if you had access to the records, a pattern began to unfold. He had found the pattern and had followed it. He had saved a twelve year old girl that would have been snatched off the street plus he had gotten a good smell of the men who had tried to kidnap her.
He needed a few moments to collect his thoughts and to bring his rage under control. It was a good thing he was helping a new and rather attractive teacher with some of the homework. He picked up his pen and started going through the math homework.
A few minutes later the night took a different turn.
Something slammed against his door, something big and something strong by the way the metal door was bending. Taylor leapt to his feet as the corner of his door bent inward and a long powerful claw like thing began tearing through.
Shit, what the hell is that thing?
It burst through the door and he got his first look at it. Long lanky arms with six inch long claws, squat powerful legs and a worm like maw with spiraling rows or teeth made this creature a pretty scary sight. Not something he ever wanted to see in a dark ally let alone his house.
All Taylor had at hand was a pen. He thought it would have to do. He lunged at the thing stabbing at its chest. “My territory! Stupid thing! Mine!” He had to overwhelm it quickly but as the thing latched onto the back of his head and flung him across the room, he thought that might be difficult.
He was staggering as he picked himself up, his small house was getting rather wrecked and this thing was just that much stronger then him. Not for long.
He began to shift allowing only a trickle of the wolf’s blood to enter him. Stronger, tougher, and now he matched the things size. The pen didn’t seem like such a meager weapon now. Driving primal strength into his arms he lunged at the creature.
He noticed that the pen was doing some damage but it wasn’t biting deep enough into its chest. Keeping on the inside of its powerful claws was becoming more difficult as the thing tried to retreat, growing frantic at the knowledge that it wasn’t fighting some normal school principle and from the renewed onslaught of his attacks. “Don’t run!” Taylor finally let the wolf in him loose and began jamming the pen into were he thought the creature’s neck should be. It was a satisfying feeling
A few sickening squishy sounds later the monster dropped. Taylor stood over it panting heavily wondering what kind of monster it was when the thing started to melt. The flesh fell off of a human form in globs revealing one of the men in the van. His scent was suffused in the creatures mass and he had a perfect trail to follow. _________________ [Werewolf]

The trail took him deep into a park and into a clearing. A man was kneeling in front of a fire with several children like forms tied up and hooded. “Carl is he dead? We really need to move ahead with the plan now.”
Taylor came through the trees with a confident smile on his face, “No he is not dead.” The look on the man’s face was priceless, shock and just a bit of fear and awe. He noticed two other men standing off to the side, one was near the children.
“Let the children go and leave town, I might let you live.” His words were almost a growl.
The man rose, his powerful build showing that this man was no stranger to physical combat. “You must have been very lucky to have gotten away from what we sent after you, but how do you think you will fair against someone like me?” Taylor was just shaking his head.
“You’re talking about a dual?”
“Yes, you beat me the children are yours and we leave never to be seen again. I kill you and…well your dead and we move along with our plans.”
Taylor started unbuttoning his shirt after all it wasn’t dedicated and it had cost him twenty dollars. “Whenever you are ready but if you intend to kill me know that I am going for your throat as well.” Taylor said moving into the clearing. “Just to be fair, thought you should know.”
The man began muttering as soon as he moved himself into the clearing then Taylor heard bone cracking. The man was mutating. His arms expanded from the inside and his head became something like that of a shark, “There is no fairness here.” He grew several feet taller and while blades sprang from his wrists. “Now I will feast on your bones human.”
Taylor steeled himself for the change, “No human am I, monster.” Then he let the wolf take over. Transforming into the werewolf of legends he grew several feet as well but the muscles that developed were more natural the claws an extension of the arm instead of just an add on and his fur grew in thick wedges covering vulnerable spots. He was walking death to that which he hunted and this unnatural abomination was his prey.
The howl ripped the through the night sky as Taylor made an impossible leap at the creature. He covered close to twenty yards and had become all claws and fur and fangs when he fell on top of the man. It was over in a matter of seconds as the wolf got a death grip on the things throat and wrenched.
The werewolf rose from the body of his defeated foe and gazed at the two other men, his eyes turning a deeper shade of red. One sprinted off into the trees but the other froze. He died first; it took an extra ten minutes for him to hunt down the other man.
When he came back to the clearing the children were all huddled together probably scared to death of the sounds they heard. He tried to talk to them but his voice made them cringe in deeper fear. He realized he couldn’t personally help them but he had a few people to call that would. _________________ [Werewolf]
