No. This was not acceptable. Nicolo berated himself for being so unfocused and sloppy. He pulled another bug out, closed it in his hand and concentrated hard on the man, leaving the area of warehouses far behind...

She looks over at Nicolo with a smile. "He mentioned dinner, Nic. Sounds like a good idea. Would you like dinner Nic?"

Bella gives Nicolo a wisked smile. "Who says I am playing, love?"
She allows the smile to go wide, her fangs flashing in the light mere seconds before she brings the man's neck to her and bites.
She hits the vein and feels the warm blood begin to rush into her mouth. A moan of pleasure escapes her as she is lost to the moment where there is nothing but the hunger and the blood.
After a few minutes, she pulls her mouth away and wipes it on her jacket sleeve.
"Come eat." She says to Nicolo. You said he had to go anyway, we may as well make it pleasurable for the poor sod."

This is almost more than Nicolo could take. Never in all his Requiem nights did he think he'd rise this evening and be sharing a kill with this woman.
He came closer to her, the kine between them, moaning in her arms, begging to be released to his own savior. The darkness was thick, but he could see the preternatural glitter to her eyes and it excited him to no end, and mixed with the overwhelming smell of the blood all around him, he tensed to control himself.
He looked to the back of the man's neck, to finish the kill there, but on impulse he stopped and looked up. He brought his face close to her face, smelling the blood everywhere – it's coppery sweetness like a drug on her breath, intoxicating him. And he licked his tongue against her beautiful, cold skin, removing a smear of blood she had missed when she wiped her mouth with her sleeve. He raised his eyes to hers, still so hungry, then backed off, and letting his teeth slide forward he raged into the muscled neck of the man, inhaling his very life from him. All of it.
"That was... good." What a neanderthal. But he could think of nothing else to say. And the man dropped between them in a less than ceremonial heap.

Char comes across a bum sleeping on some cardboard. She bends down and gently taps him on his shoulder.
“Excuse me.” She puts on her most innocent looking face.
“Can I ask you a quick question?”

Bella watches Nicolo eat, feeling herself begin to tense with anticipation. It excited her to watch his mouth work.
She looked away, not wanting to lose control of herself.
When he is done, she turns back to him and leans forward. In a flash, her tongue comes out and licks a drop of blood off his chin. She smiles.
"Yes, it was very good." Her voice is husky and low.
She clears her throat and straightens. "Guess we'd better keep looking." She says with a self-conscious smile.

What the FUCK just happened? It was all he could do not to savagely pin her up against the dumpster right now and share what blood still remained in his mouth, find what blood still remained in hers...
"Right." Nicolo reached for the dead kine's body and heaved it back into the dumpster. "I'll come back for that later." He smoothed his jacket, smoothed back his hair and looked at her with his dark, intense eyes, still dilated with the predator's excitement. "Where to now? Searching warehouses?"

Bella nods, a little too quickly and readily.
She turns and starts to quietly make her way further down the narrow alley. She really wanted to just act on her instincts and let them take over. Her body screamed at her for release. There was nothing more intoxicating then sex and blood. But they were here for a reason and this was her idea in the first place. She had to show Nicolo that she was indeed good at her job and useful in some way. Her recent failures and outbursts had made her seem like a hot-head. Something she knew she wasn't.
Which reminds me.
She turns to face Nicolo again. "By the way, I really am sorry about flipping out on you that night. I do not usually lose my temper in such a manner, and I wanted you to know that it was not you that cause me to......lose it like that."
She shakes her head, turns around and resumes her search. She activates her heightened sense of smell again and inhales deeply through her nose.

What in the world was she talking about. Nicolo was having a hard enough time concentrating as it was, with her so near and the night so still... Oh, "that" night. It was a good thing Jason had stepped in before Bella had gotten a chance to rip his face off. What was it between them that was so volatile, yet so.. so... hot? His mind began to wander again, and he had to bring himself back with some effort.
"I know Bella. It wasn't your fault, it was mine. No need to worry about it. Concentrate on... whatever it is you do, and let's catch these infide... I mean, assholes."

She reaches down and runs her fingers through his hair.
Uck! This is so icky! She squealed with disgust in her head.
She knew how terribly horrendous it all was and how she would have to bath her hand in acid to get rid of the stench, but she knew how her magic got the reactions that she normally needed....or wanted.
