Why can't the damn dice roller work for ME like this?

Why Can't a stealth character hide?
02-05 19:31:37 Al-Adin rolls 6 dice to wits+stealth Failure
6,6,5,1,6, 2
next roll has -1 die due to repetition in it.
02-05 21:02:34 Al-Adin rolls 8 dice to Dex+Stealth+shadow Failure
1,5,6,3,4, 7,5,5
