The afternoon air is brisk, and heavy with moisture.
Walking pedestrians pass by on the sidewalk, and a seabird calls out from above far diverted from it's usual home. There's the museum.

John heads off from the museum south. he heads into the nearest fast food restaurant and into the bathroom. Alone in the bathroom he yanks at the familiar threads of space pulling himself back to houston.

John heads into his office. The dirty little place is amazing clean in comparison to other junkyard's offices, but none the less still dirty. The daily crushing of concrete kept a fine gritty film on most everything.
He sat down and penned the two letters he composed over lunch. Things were not right and it was time to take steps to fix them.
He carefully folded the letters and placed each one in an envelope and sealed them. Now for the basket he thought.
It was a five minute drive to a Spec's Liquor store. Here he had the clerk customize him a gift basket of wines, cheeses, and chocolates to the tune of $200. John had one of the letters he wrote placed in the basket prior to it being wrapped in the fancy clear plastic.
With the gift basket in hand he headed back to the yard.

John looks closer at the folded magicks that the front guard wears around himself.
A shroud of grim rot writhes about his person, tendrils feeling nimbly outwards. It appears to be a Death spell, not something Dee is terribly familiar with. Layered beneath it, a Mind spell whirls in action, like gears and spindles turning to produce extra processing power for his mind.
The last spell happens to be Mage Sight, Dee's Angle Vision spell seeps out around the corner and risks catching the guard's attention.

Dee drops his angle vision and heads over to the hotel. He approaches casually and slowly. Giving the guard ample to to approach him if he so desires.
If unhindered I will enter and go to the front desk or a bell hop.

Dee felt a bit better, he was a step closer to putting that ugly affair to bed.
The Letter:
Emissary Calligan Wellmer,
Emissary I would like to apologize for my actions the other day. I was operating under the incorrect pretense that there were no pentacle mages left in Sacramento due to my own blundering. Thus the undue intrusion as I inappropriately assumed I had stumbled upon a rogue mage. No mater my reasoning you where still wronged by my miscalculations.
I hope in time my actions and work for Sacramento under The Consilium of Northern California’s mandates will help to fade the memory this grievous misstep of mine.
As a token of my sincerity please accept this assortment of fruit, cheeses, and a few bottles of wine that compliment the selection.

The Letter
Excavator Tyria Primoria,
I am concerned about the state of the Mysterium and my work here in Sacramento. I am uncertain on why I would be sent to Sacramento to investigate the disappearance of the awakened community. It was not until after my investigation of the Free Council Sanctum (which I was not informed existed), that I was informed to contact you. I had no idea there was another Mystagogue in Sacramento let alone that The Celestial Hoarders still existed.
I cannot fathom why I would be sent in with at best with a horrid lack of information or at worst intentional blind. I feel that some type of internal investigation is called for. As I have been demoted I am in no position to head something of this nature up.
I appreciate your immediate attention to this urgent matter.
