"its the weirdest thing. The perp, or whoever carried the vic into the park, was blurry as all get up, but the rest was crystal clear. He also picked up all the trash in the area, and then placed a piece of jewelry at the scene. Its in for fingerprints. As Kordecki milled through the station he over heard Joe talking. Sipping his coffee he stepped into homicide. "Morning Joe. I heard you talking about a blurry image on a video. I have found at times the frame rate is reduced greatly on some older security cameras to save film space. So the film picks up static objects fine, but anything moving especially moving fast ends up fuzzy or distorted." Kordecki shrugs as he finishes his factiod. _________________ Nothing is random, we just don't understand the variables.

Gus half swallows his coffee wrong after hoping to run into Venessa then her surprising him outside of the office. Trying to play off his choking as clearing his throat. He looks down saying "Older cctvs had limited tape space. Often to maximize the tape the frame rates would reduced. Low frame rate would produce clear still shots. But fast movement or even any movement depending on the frame rate, lighting, lens, and number of times the media has been re-recorder over could be distorted." Gus stops himself as he realizes he is not chatting in his electronics forum where is last statement would make him uber rather than a dorkish. Venessa thinks about what he says for a moment, then shakes her head. "I don't know if thats the problem. Here, I'll show you." She grabs him by the arm (not the one holding the coffee) and leads him to the video room.
Once there, she releases him and picks up the remote. She hits the power button, then play and the screen comes to life.

As Venessa hits the play button, the two detectives watch as a blurry form enters the park. The figure lays the duffle bag down on the ground and opens it. Then the blurry form carefully pulls something out of the bag and lays it on the ground with a motion of near reverence.
The figure walks around the body, bending over periodicly as if picking something up of the ground. After twenty minutes, the figure finally walks over to the merry-go-round and bends over again. Then, the figure walks back over to the large form on the ground, picks up the duffle bag (now empty) and leaves the park.
Gus realizes that he has seen this scene unfold before. He remembers watching a video from one of this cold case files that had almost this exact footage. The park was different, but the scene played out the same. And the figure was just as blurry. The rest of the video was crystal clear, as he sees in this video, but the figure moving around is too blurry to even make out. It was a case from about 20 years ago. _________________ "I might like you better if we slept together."

"Well all I said...yeah um this is not one of those cases.... Did you see the squirrel. We could post that squirrel's mug shot it is so clear. The foliage moves, the figure is only blurred. So your video has been tampered with is the most likely thing. Other wise we are talking james Bond type stuff. I read in PC magazine like over a year ago about a cloaking suit that was a prototype for an invisibility suit. Anyway I will email you the link." Gus pauses and recalls a case from the 80's. "Now this is new footage right? I may have a connection to an old case we have floating around down there. We thought it was just bad old video, but if I recall right the video was disturbingly similar to this one.
