He hangs up the phone. He doesn't need to get caught up in the cops' investigation. He just couldn't leave Randall laying out there.
He skates away at full speed, thinking he might catch a bus and check out downtown Sacramento for information.
He tries to think of any places that the few mages he'd associated had talked about, or any places that seem like they'd appeal to them.
