The limo finally arrived at Asylum. Lioni got out and told the driver to take Miss Antoinette back to her abode. Then, she bid the girl a good evening and rushed inside.
Once she was safely behind the closed door of her club, she sagged against it for a moment, regretting that she had to face this part of her past. She straightened and composed herself before making her way to Cozette's office.
Upon entering the office, she took note of Cozette and Aurelle with a blank expression.
"Aurelle, you have awakened. It is so good to see the years have treated you kindly. I trust some explanations are in order now?"

Cozette breathed a sigh of relief as Lioni came through the door. Relief was replaced by shock as she heard Lioni speak.
She does know her, it is true! Was everything else Aurelie had claimed true as well then?
Composing herself, Cozette managed a smile for Lioni.
"Would you like to sit here, Lioni? I will stand," Cozette rose so Lioni could sit.

Aurelie first flinched back from the more powerful Kindred, then looks more at ease. Madame! It is so good to see you! What happened, where are we? she suddenly stops herself, trying not to be impetuous.

Lioni made an impatient gesture for Cozette to sit down.
"Not necessary. Why don't we adjourn to my chambers and I will explain everything there. Follow me please."
She turned and headed back down the hallway. Stopping at a door, she unlocked it with a large brass key and then headed down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs is another door which she unlocks with a different key. She ushers the two women into the room and closes and locks the door again behind her.
Inside the room is lavishly furnished with two large comfortable couches, a comfortable looking armchair, a well polished dark wood coffee table and small polished dark wood side tables. On the tables are two intricately carved lamps of dark wood as well. Both lamps depict two separates sides of the spectrum. One with a devil and one with an angel. Flipping a light switch on the wall by the door, both lamps turn on to reveal light lavender furniture to go with the dark wood, and the carpet is a light lavender with white speckles.
Lioni motions for the two women to have a seat and then sits in the armchair. She leans back, looking at the ceiling and attempting to prepare her mind to go back down memory lane. Finally, she looks down at the two women and speaks.
"Over a century ago, when Ciozette and I still lived in France, I met a woman. She was an exquisite ballet dancer with a wonderful mind. We became friends quickly. Then, I introduced her to you, Cozette and you two hit it off rather well.
One night, while visiting this woman, I became agitated as I am want to do sometimes, and I attacked her. In my fit of anger, I accidentally killed her. Mourning the loss of such lovely talent, I could not bare to let her die. So, I gave her the kiss of immortality.
This woman was you, Aurelle.
After a time, you grew accustomed to being one of the Dammed and you excelled at everything I taught you. Just after I released you from my responsibility, however, you allowed your new found power to go to your head. You became uncontrollable.
One night, you fell prey to the dark hunger and killed an aspiring musician. Someone out dear Cozette here had been smitten with for quite some time. You came to me scared and apologetic, but the damage had already been done.
I was angry. I could have killed you myself that night, but I decided putting you down for a while was a better solution. So, I staked you and placed you in a crate.
Shortly after this time, Cozette and I left France. I could not tell Cozette of what I had to do, nor did I want to tell her that her lover was dead because her sister could not control herself. So, rather then break Cozette's heart twice in one night, I took the memories from her.
Now, I see you are awake, and I fear the repercussions of what I have done will finally fall upon me.
So, ask your questions and I will answer them."

"It was over a century ago and she does not remember it anyway. The question here is what to do with you? Do you think you are better equipped to behave now? Or will I have to find a stronger crate?"

Cozette's head was spinning. She wasn't sure whether to be angry or grateful. So much to process.....Lioni had sired a childe? And then that childer had...
Cozette mentally shook herself, storing away the information to process later.
She smiled at Aurelie, "If we were such great friends before, I am sure we can be again. I am sorry I have no memories of you, but I do hope in time I will have new ones."

I...I do not think so my lady... She murmurs, trying to make her voice very clear and stop her heavy french accent from coming through.
I would be happy to do whatever you wish of me, I will not dissapoint you... she nods fervently, rather ignoring Cozette, her sire's happiness the most important thing to her at the moment.

"Yes, yes, of course I have all of your things Aurelle." Lioni says distracted by Cozette.
"Is that a bug? In my home? My club? Unacceptable! I want an exterminator in here tomorrow. How disgusting! I will not tolerate filth in my home!"
She turns her attention back to Aurelle. "You will stay here, of course. There is plenty of room. I will have one of the staff set up a room for you and we will move all of your things in there. Will that be acceptable?"
Her tone lightens as she talks to her childe, the feeling of guilt still evident in her voice.

Oui! ...I...I mean..Yes Madame, anything that you would offer me would be so appreciated... she murmurs, a fair bit of fear in her depressed gaze, the girl having not come out of torpor unscathed.
She flinches the moment Lioni raises her voice about the bugs, the tone sparking an old memory in her that makes her nearly cower into her chair.
If I may return to my duties that I served for you before Madame I would be most honored, research and being your personal assistant, nothing would bring me more joy...

Lioni shakes her head.
"No, that won't be necessary. What we need to do is get you prepared for today's society. Then, you will find your own niche in this city and we will immerse you in it's politics. Now, however, we need to get you set up to begin your new life."
She turns to Cozette. "Dear, could you please have Brendon bring the car around? We need to take Miss Aurelle shopping and get her properly attired. Then, we have someone to visit. Oh and do get dressed yourself, as you will be joining us."
She walks over to Aurelle and knees by her chair. "We must get you cleaned up and looking presentable. Do you feel up to that?"

What has happened? Why is she being so nice to me, this is so strange, this woman staked me for a hundred years, my beloved Sire...And now she is being sio kind and delightful? She wants to take me shopping and help me....Ah god what have I gotten myself into...
My lady....If I may ask one question... she momentarily looks rather embarassed.
Where.....where does the power for these lamps come from? And....Everything? It is all so different... she asks, looking a bit alarmed, coming from a time when the only car was a model T and they certainly didnt have THOSE in France, and a time when gas lamps where still the norm.
