Bella glances at Nicolo, with a not exactly friendly look, before turning her arttention back to Elle.
"I am Bella, this is Nicolo. It would be best to find the proper people to talk to, in all honesty. Especially with the state of affairs as they are." She shrugs, and turns her attention to Asa.
"So, we wait for Tombs I suspect?"

To be honest I have no one and nothing.... she turns her mournful gaze on Nicolo to emphasize the point, finding him the most receptive so far to her wiles.
Who then is the lady in charge? I would simply hate to be doing something against the rules, I was not aware I needed to announce myself.... she looks as innocent as she possibly can.

Asa watches the exchange between the two women and Nicolo with a small smile. Thank god for Acknowledgment ceremonies and questions about Covenants.
He nodded to Bella's question and said quietly, "O-Yama is clear."

Asa checks his phone again. "No... nothing. No calls, no texts." He gives Bella a curious look to see if she's thinking the same thing he is. Running? "Should we wait until tomorrow to see if he responds? There are a lot of good reasons why he might have missed my message."
Suddenly Asa's phone vibrates and he looks down. "Odd," he comments, showing Bella and Nicolo the message.

Asa dialed the number as he watched Bella and Elle. The girl was simply stunning, and probably more so in candlelight... he'd almost be tempted to find out if it weren't for the sickly sweet "Save Me" act.
As the call connected, he listened.

Nicolo stole a glance at Bella to gage her level of irritation with Elle. While Elle's mysterious talents might hold a certain amount of curiosity for any Kindred or Kine man, he certainly couldn't afford to stand here and look interested any longer. Not in front of his new Inquisitora. Not when he was doing his damndest to repair the first impressions he'd made with her.
"Elle, my child. It is time you sought God's help steer your life toward a safer, more productive life. Longinus can use you as a tool to spread the word of God and the Lancea Sanctum. May I suggest you find God and Longinus through our Covenant by attending Mass at the All Hallows Church? Mass is said there every evening at midnight. If you hurry, you can just make tonight's mass, and afterward, someone will hear your confessions so you may be pure in the eyes of our Lord. I will call a cab for you." Nicolo pulled his phone from his coat pocket...

Asa gave Bella a concerned look as he spoke into the phone.
"Good evening Detective, my name is Asa Clarke. I was trying to reach a Mr. "Tombs"... did I have the wrong number?"
...
"Ay Ess Ay. Yes, I am the one that just texted the phone," he said, thinking.
Harley Davidson boots.
"Mr. Tombs told me he was someone who could help me find parts for some of my antique motorcycles. I also have no idea what a 'street name' is... that was just the name he gave to me. Do you mind me asking if something is amiss?"

No...I believe I was invited to join you, as you said Signoro, it is not wise for ladies to walk the streets alone. her voice losing just a bit of her siren-esque lilt.

Bella placed her hand gently on Nicolo's as he made to dial his phone.
"Hang on there, shisai. Mass is something one goes to of their own volition. If Miss Elle here is not interested, then that is her right. Besides, I do not think it wise to send an unknown kindred to the Bishop without one of us to accompany her."
She looks at Elle. "I do not doubt your words, my friend. For I believe I know what you speak of. Maybe you could be of use to us this evening, if Asa can actually find Tombs, that is."

"In the Motherland, no Kindred would be turned away from the Church. No matter how... unknown... We welcome all God's Damned with open arms, since it is a simple matter to discover their 'true' intentions. It makes me curious why your Bishop would be suspect of anyone seeking knowledge or redemption under the roof of Longinus. But that is obviously a conversation for another time."
He shrugs and focuses his attention back on Asa and the problem at hand.

"Under normal circumstances, I would agree. However, with the city's current state of affairs, I do not think it wise to take that chance."
Then, she takes a moment to gather her thoughts before talking to Elle. "The kindred of this city seem to be under the watchful eye of an unknown adversary. We have already had some losses. A few who were important, a few who were not as established. We are not sure exactly what or who it is that wishes our city "cleansed" as they put it, but we have to keep a very vigilent watch for danger. Right this minute, we are attempting to contact another kindred who we believe may have a hand in leaving the drained body of a homeless man where kine can find it."

"I'm sorry, no," Asa replied. "I didn't know him at all, we only met once before at a motorcycle exposition I attended. I'll take it he's... unavailable, but I'll be sure to call you if I hear of anything."
Waiting to see if there was a reply, Asa said, "Good day, Mr. Carmichael... I'm sorry, Detective Carmichael." before ending the call.
Asa looked at the others. "Well, Tombs is either a murder suspect or dead. That was a Homicide Detective who had his phone that said he could only talk to family."

"Murder suspect, possibly. But dead?" Nicolo looked highly suspicious. "Considering how challenging it is to kill the Damned, I really wonder... Perhaps torpor?" He was lost in thought for a moment, then said, "Did anyone else know Tombs? Did he have any friends he hung around that we might talk with? Clubs he frequented? You said he had a bike? Isn't there a motorcycle-type club in town?"

"I remember Mars mentioning some bikerish bar he was at on the outskirts of town then night me Coda, lu-" She cut herself off, the pain of losing her coterie-mate still very fresh and raw. She sighed, and started again. "The night a bunch of us went for a race. I don't remember if he said what the name of it was, but I do remember him saying it was on the outskirts of town."
Then, she looks at Asa with an accusatory look. "Why the hell didn't you lie?"
