Holly pursed her lips and leaned toward the flower. "But... wouldn't someone notice these sort of things? They don't look exactly... normal, if you know what I mean. They remind me of those fancy orchids people grow just to show off. Like the ones they had on that episode of Nip/Tuck."

Asa shrugged. "I honestly have no idea. Usually a branch will try to entangle a person, and then either stab them, or drop one of these on them," he said, touching his arm again. "I wouldn't put it past it, though. I've been wondering what would happen if a drop of Blood were placed on it, but I'm not that curious."

Which is probably why I'm going to go home and make sure that my plants aren't going ape-shit. Frankly, there might be something in the air.

Asa gave Nicolo a curious look at the offer, and his odd speech pattern, but then Bella spoke, and he gave her a grateful smile and nod. He had been thinking that would be the hard part... and now Paresh seemed to know something as well.
He held up a finger absently to Nicolo as he stopped to listen to Paresh. If the man did know something, he had a few questions of his own.

"Could it be possible someone came across these plants and harnessed them for their own use? Or, could it be possible these Bron Inquisitors did not finish the job they set out to do?"
She sat back in her chair, shaking her head. "I apologize Heirophant, it is just very hard to put a thumb on who is behind this when everything we have points in three or four different directions. Any body else have any other questions I haven't thought of?"

Sounds as if Kindred religion is just as screwed up as Kine. Asa turned to include both Jason and Paresh in his next questions. "I don't understand why the two separate plants. They seem easy enough to reproduce, which suggests it wasn't done for a practical reason. Is that a mistaken assumption? Or is it fair to to assume it was intentional and might have some symbolic meaning?"
The closest thing to experimentation Asa had ever done was in financial matters, and the only reasons you conducted a transaction in multiple currencies was either to hedge your bet and manage the risk, or to send a message to the market.

We've seen something like this before, but that doesn't mean we've seen this before. Right? I mean, couldn't there be an entirely different reason? Or maybe they are ghouled, but whoever ghouled them died, or left, or fell into torpor and now these things are just trying to survive?"

Bella looked at Asa. "Ok, what was it that was different about the plant exactly? Different colored flowers maybe, or different looking leaves?"
She then turned to Holly with a nod. "I would agree with that, except that these plants were given kindred to feed on and then those kindred were nailed or delivered to certain peoples establishments. That leads us to believe this is not just some random event."

She hated to sound dumb, but there was a lot that could happen out there now. And she didn't want to confine t hem to one avenue unless she had no choice. Bella stood and bowed. "Of course Heirophant, I cannot thank you enough for your time and information. We will not disturb you any longer."
She glanced over at Nicolo and realized he was barely holding it together. Dear God I am so sorry! Please forgive me for neglecting my fellow Sanctified in his time of need.
She preyed as she stepped over to the nearly catatonic kindred and gently took his arm.
"Nicolo," she spoke gently, "it is time to go my friend. Let us take our leave."
As she escorted the poor man out the door, she turned back to Paresh with a smile. "Again, I thank you for your time, Heirophant and if you ever have need of the Sanctified, please feel free to ask."
She then, quickly, took Nicolo outside of the church.
