As Joe walks up to the church, he sees that it is indeed abandoned and run down. It is a small building, maybe two rooms, with a high steeple and bell, set on a large plot of land. The yard is overgrown, with grass reaching to almost the knees and large, unchecked weeds dominating it.
The church appears to have been built in the late fifties, early sixties. It looks like there may have been a fire in the front of the church at one point, as the porch is charred slightly. There is a set of steps leading up to the porch, but they do not look like they would hold a large person for more then a few moments. It was once painted white, but now stands ash gray, with paint peeling off in large strips. The building appears to be made of wood.
Where the rest of the building looks run down and fragile, the front double doors look very sturdy and the door knobs and dead bolt appear very shiny and close to new.

There is one deep allyway across the street that faces the front door directly and allows for a large view of the front of the church.

The two Detectives sit and wait for nearly six hours before they see any kind of activity.
The sun went down four hours ago and Venessa has already had two red bulls trying to stay awake. The two of them have discussed every impersonal subject they can think of, neither one wanting to give in to the silence that seems to always hover on the edge of every statement. Neither one wanting to delve into the other's personal business out of fear or respect. It's pretty amusing, actually.
As Venessa is explaining to Joe about this particular horror movie she saw the other night that totally sucked, Joe thinks he sees movement out of the corner of his eye.

Joe sees a figure going into the back of the church though a loose board in the wall. He does not get a good look at who it is, but the person is short, small of frame, and wearing mostly black.

The warrent arrives, and it is given to Venessa. She stealthfully slinks over to Joe and gives it to him. She readies herself to go in with him, and tells Joe his back-up is on the way.
The other blues arrive shortly after the warrent, and they set themselves up around the church.
With a signal, Joe, Venessa, and the blues go inside.

~~NARRATION~~
The bulding has obviously been vacant for quite some time. Mostly everything in here is covered in a thick layer of dust. The unused pews look cracked and very old. There is a small podium at the back of the church on a stage with a large wooden depiction of Jesus on the cross. This is also very dusty and craked. The curtains on the wall behind the podium look as if they might have once been white and gold but are now a nearly dark grey and the gold trim has been blackened by dirt and age.
Joe notices foot prints on the floor that lead to a large door off to the right. The door looks new and very sturdy.

~~NARRATION~~
The door busts in and there is a stairway leading down. As Joe, Venessa, and the other officers head down the stairs, they see a dim light up ahead.
When they reach the bottom of the stairs, they encounter another door, but this one is open and inviting. They go through the door and the brightness of the room takes them a bit by surprise. Blinking furiously, all of them wait until their eyes adjust to the light before moving on.
Taking a look around, Joe realizes they are standing in a labratory. The floors and walls are white and luminescent in the bright overhead lights.
There is one hospital bed in the center of the room, straps are hanging from the edges to hold the arms and legs. There is a silver tray next to the bed containing a number of surgical utensils. There is an air tank next to the bed with a mask attached to it.
A computer sits on a desk in one corner of the room and there is a door to the right that is currently closed. There is no sign of the perp as of yet.

Before Joe has the chance to open the door and before Carl can move toward the computer, a japanese man steps out of the room, drying his hands on a towel.
The man fits the picture composite almost perfectly.
He raises an eyebrow as he looks at the officers but smiles.
"Good evening gentlemen, lady. I am so sorry for the room being in such disarray, I did not know you were coming. What can I do for you this evening?"

The man looks over at Joe and smiles. "Oh I don't think we know eachother well enough for that kind of information exchange."
He places the towel on the silver tray and looks around. "Well, I think I am done with everything here, so you may take it all if you wish. Could you please tell me what it might be pertinent to?"

The man looks surprised. "Truly you cannot be serious? I am sorry officers but I think it is time I take my leave now."
Before any of them can even think about making a move, the man takes off at a speed that is not possible for any human to run at. His blue shirt and black pants are nothing but a blur as he races up the stairs and is gone before any of them can blink.
