 Secretary Meriam Keller was also born and raised in Sacramento. She is said to be a very sweet woman with a cheery disposition most of the time. It is well known among those of the older generation that Shiff and Keller dated in high school. So, it came as no surprise when the Mayor hired Meriam to be his personal secretary. Although Meriam is not Shiff wife, it is whispered around the office that there has been a long standing affection between them and possibly even an affair.
