Tyria didn't grow up in what you would call a good household. Her mother was an alcoholic and her father had wanted a linebacker son. So, Tyria was mostly ignored and forgotten. Because of her home situation, Tyria spent as much time as she could outside of her home. Most of this time was spent in the library. By the age of 9, Tyria was reading and comprehending dissertations on the subject of Anthropology better than most girls her age could understand The Babysitters Club. The Librarian had taken note of the little girl and took her under his wing. He learned of her home life and asked if she wanted to still live with her parents. The serious little girl replied, "No, I don't." After three years of legal battles and tears, Tyria was finally allowed to leave her parents home and live with the kind Librarian. On, her fourteenth birthday, Tyria had a dream. In it she was swept across distant lands and finally ended up in a place that could only be described as the land of fairies. The fairies there grieved for her life, and promised her that they would help her reclaim her childhood. They guided her up the stairs of a huge silver tower, and to a beautiful old looking book. Tyria read a little and saw names, many names from ages long gone. She signed her name as well, for the sake of posterity, and then awoke in her bed. The kind old Librarian stood in the door, smiling sadly. "Welcome to a very new world, young lady." Her foster father became her mentor, and taught her much of what she knows today. She graduated from College when she was sixteen with several degrees in Archeology and Anthropology, and afterwards, went to work for the Mysterium.
Seen as a bit of a bookworm, is still well liked and well respected, even outside of the Mysterium. Her research ability is unsurpassed, and she has solved several mysteries in the past. She is the go to person for all things concerning the dissapearance of the mages, but even she is having a problem finding anything concerning the event. Anyone who comes across anything is encouraged to let her or one of her assistants know immediately. _________________ "I might like you better if we slept together."
