	“O-Yama” as Samanosuke Hatori dubbed himself post-embrace was born in the year 1648 in feudal Japan. A noble by birth, he was privileged to train in the arts of war as a samurai. Samanosuke was a prodigy with a blade cutting down many foes in the name of his Shogun. He was a deadly warrior on the field of battle and few could match his honor. Such was his prowess that losing an eye in battle did not deter him from taking the head of a “demon” one fateful night. Unfortunately for him, the demon in question was a recently sired Burakumin Nosferatu and in slaying the Kindred he drew the ire of his sire. The Kindred who’s childer had been put to death did not immediately act on his anger though and followed Samanosuke’s actions for many years. Seeing that he was such a proficient warrior he requested permission of the local Prince to once again sire a childe and was granted leave to do so. So it was that “O-Yama” was born into the Requiem. The newly reborn “O-Yama” resented his sire and eventually struck back at his mentor, attacking and beating his esoteric and sagely sire before performing the act of diablerie. Tasting his sire’s heartsblood and finding it so much sweeter than that of any human he had consumed in his short time as one of the Damned made him lustful for power and he became a monster for it. He began to feed from other Kindred exclusively, slaughtering any pawns who got in his way, it was not long before he had barely a shred of his former humanity left and his blood had become too powerful. Soon after, starved and unwilling to cope with the wretched stain on his honor, he struck a deal with an order of monks to have himself interred in a stone sarcophagi of sorts and drifted into torpor. When he finally awoke from torpor, he shattered the stone holding him prisoner and slaughtered and drank dry nine random people from a street nearby before reigning in the Beast. The monks, thinking him a gift from the higher powers, took him in as his fear for this new changed world nearly overcame him. Samanosuke “O-Yama” found he was no longer in Japan but had awoken hundreds of years after his interment in a land called America, his sarcophagi watched over by a Buddhist temple in a city called Sacramento. Since awakening and finding that his hunger is nowhere near as powerful nor his choices of meal so restricted Samanosuke has decided to take his time now that he walks the nights once again.
