'''Cattiveria''' (''wickedness'') is the unique necromantic [[Discipline]] of the [[Sangiovanni]] [[bloodline]]. It grants them control over the energies of death, allowing them to animate corpses to do their bidding and perform other unholy acts.

Cattiveria was developed as a replacement for the necromancy employed by the bloodline's founder, Lodovico Sangiovanni, before his Embrace. No longer able to employ mortal sorcery, Lodovico realised through his association with the [[Lancea Sanctum]] that the "animating force" which preserved vampires and could be loaned to living [[ghoul]]s should also be able to enervate corpses and [[ectoplasm]] as well. He spent many years researching and perfecting the Discipline, and it resembles a scholarly pursuit in some ways more than black magic, despite its trappings.

Cattiveria (it. 'wickedness') or necromancy is the practice of manipulating the tainted essence of death toward such ends as raising seeping cadavers and enslaving specters and ghosts.
