At the bottom of the slippery staircase, order had been enforced. The circular rough stone room the Scrivener worked in usually enjoyed a cozy amount of clutter, books piled here and there, several ongoing projects spread across the broad wooden desk and some of the shelves. The main desk and chair were the only handsome things in the room, well made and left behind by the previous tenant, and for this occasion the top of the desk was even visible; thick notebooks had been closed and set to the side, loose pages tucked into them and books returned to their proper place on the shelves cut into the walls. Even the cot that often stretched through part of the space had been folded up and set to the side, habitual bedding nowhere to be seen.

A circle of comfortable camp chairs were unfolded in the middle of the space, carefully avoiding the tiny stream that bisected the room. It had been tempting to put either herself or Ramona behind the desk, but it seemed an ostentatious move for a supposedly informal meeting, so it was camp chairs all around. The gentle light of the myriad hanging lamps, dangling like glow worms from the ceiling, followed Ava as she made final preparations. It had taken a little bit of time to find a day that worked for everyone, but she was relieved things had finally come together. Everyone had said they would come, some more willing than others, but it would be done.

Doing her best not to dwell on what she already knew, or thought she knew, about the situation, Ava waited for everyone to be present and ready to begin, already lamenting the fact that she had considered it odd to have snacks for such a gathering.

Punctuality may be a positive trait in most circles, but the Beast peeking over the rooftop was less inclined to be first. She had a good vantage point to fret and worry over what was to come. She worried that it'd be awkward. She worried over the feeling of vulnerability from the knife pack not strapped to her side. She hadn't realized how comforting the blades had become. The hip flask of "courage juice" wasn't a good substitute.

Finally, Morgan worried about being there before Ramona was around to "keep things calm." After a thought, she figured it'd be bad to go in before Cosima too. Not because it'd put the wasp on edge to see Morgan, Ava, and others waiting to "judge" the Fairest. Nor to show deference to the Fairest. Morgan just thought the wasp would be happy "arrive" before Morgan.

Happy Cosima has to be less scary then angry Cosima. The Beast lurking on the roof crossed her claws for luck as she waited.

When the Wasp came walking down the sidewalk towards the water shrouded storm drain, she almost could have been mistaken for someone else. Almost. The unnatural shock of red hair and the cane gripped in her left hand undeniably marked the Wasp for who she was, no matter that she wore a leather jacket over a flannel shirt, along with jeans and tennis shoes. Undoubtedly the most casual ensemble the Wasp had ever been seen in outside of the home.

Of course, today was no ordinary day. It was a day of revelations and reconciliation, one that required all facades be stripped away. Thus the Wasp approached Ava's storm drain with no pretensions in mind, only a weight which sat uncomfortably in her gut. For, though this was no official inquest, it would undoubtedly determine her place in the Freehold for months to come.

Thus the three drops of blood pricked from her skin was a small price to pay to enter the Nix's hollow. A pittance compared to the price she knew she would have to pay, and a shadow of what she would soon feel.

But, alas, she was there. Ready to face the challenge to come. And, if nothing else, she would have at least one friend in the room.

A dim smile was paid to the Archivist as Coco strode inside. "Hello, Ava. Thank you for hosting us today. I cannot say that it will be a pleasure, but it is most certainly appreciated. Would you mind storing my cane behind your desk for the duration of our meeting here, today? I wouldn't want anyone to feel threatened, you see."

The truck sits outside, about a block away from the storm drain, in the shadow of a decrepit building. Seat reclined back, Ramona watches from out of the cab. She's been staked out here for only a little while, less than an hour really. Just long enough to be sure that the confrontation isn't going to start outside the Hollow. When she sees Coco go in, that's good enough for her. If anyone's going to initiate violence, it's probably Coco. Not that Ramona thinks that's likely, but someone does or they wouldn't have called for the Constable. So as stupid as it is, Ramona has to take it seriously.

Getting the phone call from Ava about this had been weird. Do the people involved really think that someone's going to attack someone else at this meeting? Is she supposed to beat up the offender if they're not courteous? Are these people not fucking adults? She sighs. As she'd told Coco, sometimes protecting others means doing scut work. That's just how the job is. She pricks her thumb for the three drops of blood, and carefully climbs into the Hollow. Trying to keep her face and posture reserved, and not let her irritation show. If you listen carefully though, you might hear he sound of stone bones cracking and grinding against each other.

Milo was not looking forward to this. As the person who escalated the situation to the Council and agreed to Lynn's idea to confront Coco, he couldn't help but feel a pang of fear as he made his way to Ava's Hollow. He hoped it would go well for everyone, but a part of him knew that this wasn't going to be free or easy and that price had to be paid because Milo couldn't leave well enough alone.

A few drops of blood were deposited into the pool before Milo froze. After the night from hell with Moira and the Long Midnight's token, the thought of being trapped underground in a room with Ramona was enough to make the Fairest seriously reconsider going through with this. The possibility of that popping up was the sole reason Milo now hesitated at the edge of the drain, and the only reason he looked up when he sighed to spot the shadow of a figure on the roof.

    It wasn't hard guessing who.

"Morgan." Milo said with a mix of anxiety and amusement. He took a few steps back to look for the person that cast the shadow. "I think the meeting is supposed to be downstairs."

She had expected Ramona to be the first one down the treacherous stone steps, but Coco was a welcome surprise. Despite agreeing at the time, the Archivist had harbored doubts that the wasp would show, or take it seriously. It seemed she was wrong on both counts, judging from the prompt arrival and subdued attire. "I don't imagine anyone is going to enjoy it," she replied, not unkindly. "But I would be happy to store your cane, I think that's very wise."

Both blade and blunt instrument, the cane by itself was enough reason to give Coco a wide berth, let alone her sharp tongue. Accepting the weapon, she considered laying it across the desk but decided to avoid putting it on display. Instead, it was propped up behind the workspace, casually visible should a person look.

Ramona's arrival was greeted with a thin smile and a nod, gesturing to the folding chairs with a small flick of her fingers. "Thanks for joining us. Feel free to have a seat, if you'd like."

It looked like everyone was here with Milo's arival. She could be "fashionably late" now. Though the man froze for some reason, she could taste fear. Was he that scared of talking with Cosima? She thought the Autumn Fairest was a good talker. And then he spotted, so she smiled and waved, "Eh-heh-heh, hi Milo." Her voice was a little clearer then when she was at ground level. She lowered her hand to grip the side of the roof with both sets of claws, "I just like heights, reverse-acrophobia-sort-of. Plus I t-t-thought it'd...make Cosima heh-happier, and-thus-less-hostile, if I meh-made sure she arrived a'fore me."

Morgan next decided to just roll herself over the edge of the roof, landing with graceful ease from practice. She didn't even have to roll from this height to stick the landing. Before rising from her crouch she lunged forward on one leg to activate the Hollow's, using the grate to provide the cut needed for the blood. "Kinda w-wish I heh-hadn't stored all me blades now. Heh-heh," she stood up, turned to Milo, then made an "after you gesture" with both arms towards the Hollow's entrance. The raccoon grinned at Milo, "Shall we godo-good sssir? Oh-heh-heh, if ye feel ye need it," she slapped the hip flask on her hip, "Whiskey tis available."

Morgan will follow Milo inside to keep with her "last" arrival plan.

Wordlessly, the Wasp handed over her cane, the Wasp's teeth bracing her tongue against any flippant jests. And, though she regretted the decision as soon as her palm left the lovingly maintained wood, Coco knew that it was for the best. Not wise. Just obvious...but she'd accept the Nix's compliment none the less.

And, after the cane had been deposited, Coco took a seat, lounging against the back of the chair with one leg crossed idly over the other. Her position didn't change even when Ramona arrived, and certainly didn't change when her enemies stepped through the door.

Well, perhaps she should just say enemy. Morgan hadn't ever acted against her. Milo, however, had. The Wasp's eyes narrowed as the man stepped into the room, though she averted her gaze soon after. It wouldn't do to provoke the silly little fool.

She settles herself in a seat, trying to approximate where Coco will be seated, probably across from Milo and Morgan, and find a place between them. She has to remind herself not to cross her arms or her legs in irritation. It still looks like she's a little tense in her seat, blue eyes flicking to each of the summoned parties. A significant part of her wants to voice aloud, and have everyone acknowledge, that the fact that anyone feels that she needs to be here is a bad sign. Better behavior should be expected from all of them. Still... saying that probably wouldn't help any.

"Tempting." Milo said as he started down the stairs. "But let's break that out afterwards."

The smile faded as the others came into view at the bottom of the stairs. Cosima without her cane was reassuring, but the fleeting glare wasn't. He lingered in the doorway, gesturing for Morgan to take her seat before him. Should she do so, he would rest his palms on the back of an adjacent seat and hover over it.

"Hello everyone." The Fairest said as he scanned the assembled. For all his internal struggle, he didn't visibly show much. An all too typical and insincere smile crept forth before finally turning his attention to Ava. "Thank you for hosting. I know this isn't exactly drinks and fun times."
