July had been scoping out the exterior when attention was brought to him. He had been settled in the city for a while, so many of the cowboy jokes had died down. The hat could cause a renewal of the nickname though.

His change of focus of course did not come before he noticed the light come on upstairs. He very carefully put his finger to his lips and cautiously made a shushing sound before his finger pointed obviously towards the window on the upper left side. "We need to be careful and quiet now," he whispered. He would prefer to just kick the door in, but the light renewed the need for quiet. He took the lock picks and whispered, "Frankly, this ain't my normal skill set, but I'll give it a shot."

They were young. Maybe these magi didn't understood the power they held inside which is why they focused on doing things the old fashion way. Of course, Guardians too understood the need to do things without magic. Maybe they just needed a teacher. Regardless, July was concerned about his lockpicking skills, so he imagined the Imago in his mind and reached out through Time in order to do things better the second time. His connection through time was weak, but enough it seemed because, though he struggled the first time, after looking through time he was able to improve and open the lock. "There you go," he whispered.

The mop bobbed, once, totally seriously at July's pointing.

Ever try to keep a totally serious expression while watching someone murder a lock with bobby pins? Not as easy as it sounds. Good times, yo. Remember discovering Four Wals?

    "Hey."

He stepped closer to the ringleader, words soft and low.

"So, uh. Did you, the three of you, take GLO?"

    Because Randoms, or Glo-Bugs?

    Avis scowled behind July.

He was too damn eager to try things in the field. He'd already gotten shot over it. What else needed to happen before he would learn to step aside?

If those successes don't open the lock, Avis will ask July to move over

No,” The lead-girl hisses in Star's direction, “crack is whack. Especially crack that fucks people up like that and make them look like they are chained by black snakes.” Focused so much on the lock that gives under July's tender touch, she doesn't even register the question other than in the third-person.

The nerd looking girl breathes a sigh of relief and starts to collect the belongings and the young man glances at Avis and then the other two.

Looks like we're in,” the ringleader whispers as she steps inside and stepping to the left and grabbing a plastic bag.

The nerdy girl whispers, filling in the Veiled threats, “Most of them should be at a party down the street. The guy we're after should be upstairs. He doesn't like someone at the frat throwing the party.”

Already in front, she's passing through the pass-through and pausing to remove her shoes to step through the house lightly; plastic bag in hand.

July was pleased with himself over the lock. He had struggled as of late with lying and stealth. He failed so badly tonight that his steps sounded like gunshots and yet hidden within failure was a reassuring success. Sometimes you just had to stick with it. Maybe he would try and teach himself how to pick locks so he wouldn't be so nervous about it in the future.

He turned his attention to her answer. Progress and good information. He was pleased to hear that they weren't fans of GLO. One more reason to work with them for now. As the nerdy girl spoke though it made July wonder how aligned their plans were. They came to abduct someone, and so were the resistence. Maybe it was the same person, or someone that would provide the answers they wanted. Clearly Fate had taken hold. Would it take six of them to capture one guy? Maybe not. But six magi to take on one potential Banisher? Those were much better odds.

As his thoughts drifted around about their mission he debated taking his own shoes off. It could be the difference between a good snatch or a bad one. After the twig outside he wasn't confident in his stealth skills so he followed in her example and took off his shoes as well to aid in his attempt to surprise the frat member and then followed the nerdy girl.

Wordlessly, and still with a scowl, Avis followed the "resistance" inside. They wanted this to be their show, it was their show. Avis would be there for when shit hit the fan.

    Chained by black snakes?

File that away. One, that might be a tell-tale of a GLO user; Two, that they'd figured out Sight; Three, that these three were... total randoms? A little twinge of guilt intruded. Hadn't Bishop had a Labyrinth? After he'd left, if someone had maintained it...

"Oh? Why doesn't he, uh, not like them?"

Welp. She was gone already. Also? This was not a Great Plan. Everyone just Went Inside. Which meant if the guy who lived here, the guy who probably knew every in and out of the house bailed, no one was Outside to catch him. Or at least slow him down.

Or see if anyone was coming back from the party down the street early.

With a sigh, the Angel remained outside, looking for a nice copse of trees for camouflage.

There's a good couple of spots of shrubs. Of course, with the drought they aren't as full as they might be and on top of college students not taking care of them, they aren't the best cover.

Dunno,” the nerdy girl informs, in classic over-sharing fashion, betraying how nervous this girl is. “I heard it was something about another girl. Don't know who. But you know how it is. It's worse than a game of telephone when it gets plastered all over Facebook and then gets re-shared into oblivion.” Pursing her lips closed she follows her friend and ringleader inside.

The House is just as the others remember it. It's nothing special, especially with the lack of a unified decorative vision you'd find in family homes. There's a flat-screen tv, there's a University Flag hanging limply against the wall, and the rooms are a bit different when not festooned with party paraphernalia.

Without her shoes, the ringleader pauses at the stairwell. Looking back out at the others. There's a question in her eyes but then again the number of people might get them in trouble. She pushes forward, plastic bag in hand. She slows as July comes up and whispers, “Cowboy, I'll need you to hold him down when we get there.” The young man who is, ostensibly their muscle, starts to play look-out himself. His warm dark brown skin-tones showing a thin-sheet of sweat.

Another few steps are taken carefully, the girl checking her corners as they ascend.

Something about the plastic bag ran a red flag through July's head and he had to say something, or at least confirm his suspicious. He put up his hand as a sign for every one to stop and whispered. "Hold up. I'm fine holding him down for you, but is that plastic bag for killing or kidnapping, because if you're going end him we need to question him first. We came here for answers above all." He tried to keep his voice down as he spoke. He didn't say he was against killing him afterwards though.

    Holy holly murder, Botany-Man.

A not-so-delicate frown twists the Angel's lips into a moue of Serious Disapproval. If only he had his pruning shears. And fertilizer. A... wheelbarrow... of fertilizer.

    And a Holocaust Cloak.

For now, though? He'd be patient and Just Watch Out.
