(Broken Cycle) Back on the Street

[Seraphina]

A finger taps her lips as she listened and looked at the symbols.

Nodding, “Interesting.” She mutters, “And I think moving to a library might be a good idea. One, it gets us out of the rain and off the streets, and two, we need more information. More solid facts to go off. Though it does make you wonder if he is looking for a specific class.” Everyone, Gentry included, had their own tastes. “Or warning a certain class.” It could go either way.

She wasn’t sure what to say to Titania, “Any traces will be noticed. A hunter knows when his grounds have been messed with.” Least she was assuming.

Whatever.

Noticing the change in Sonnies voice, she nods to her, body tensing, “Then lets go.” When a Beast tells you something is up, you listen.

'as a Spring, of course she did! And begins to point them out and describe their meaning to Rhodes and Sonnie.' She told Rhodes and Sonnie

Rhodes continues to look up at the Huntsman's image. "I hope you aren't suggesting we climb up magically grown vegetation, Eleanor," The Autumn offers distractedly. "Everyone knows magic isn't real."

Between Sonnie's lookout and Sera's agreement, The Dread Lord finally looks down.

"Yes. Time to go, I think." He glances down the other end of the Alley to where Sonnie is standing watch.

Is the alley open on both ends or is it a dead end?

[Titania]

She shakes her head at the Queen. Tracking didn't just work that way.
"We need that sample. As I see it, we can work together to retreive it. Or I can fetch it myself. As for our friends", she juts her head toward the direction Sonnie has been looking at. "Leave them to me. I'll buy us enough time for you to establish who they really are"

[Saber Sloth]

The rain continues to fall, the violently loud territory marker is still so very high upon the brick wall. The alley stretches out, to the right, the street from whence the Lost had come, and to the left, it narrows into a darkened corner. Through the drizzle, they see a layer of gravel spilling from the mouth of the corner, poorly hiding cracked asphalt. The rain water pooling, and making everything a grey, brown sludge.

And their watchers haven't seemed to move.

Others can't climb. Can't Won't abandon them.

Sonnie ignored Titania's nonsense and waited for the Queen to make a decision. Usually she enjoyed the nonsense, but this was no time for it. Never do her eyes leave the watching shadows. Keep all four in sight. Did they just do something?

They needed to be moving. And she nods to Rhodes, he knew what was up.

She blinks a few times at Titania, was she dropped on her head in the Hedge? “What do we need it for exactly? While it would be wonderful to have, we don’t have the time. In case you forgot who left the tag, I haven’t. Meaning if he isn’t watching, they are. With information be passed to him, or worse, he’s on his way. So no, sticking around isn’t an option right now. We’ve seen it, got some information and are going to move somewhere safe. I can’t force you to come with us, but I don’t think batting your eyes is going to by us any amount of time. So we go.” They didn’t know how many of them there was, nor did they know where the Gentry was. The odds were not in their favor. “And live to plan and defeat him on our terms.”

Looking to Sonnie, she nods. Trust the Beast and her eyes to see them safely out.

Rhodes finally glances sideways to Titania. "Useful? Absolutely. Necessary, no. We are being watched, Titania. It doesn't matter who or what they are when it comes to growing magic plants." His voice is a low hiss. "It stands out and is memorable, even more than you and Sera already are. And if they are beasts shaped like men, they will not fall for your charms."

He looks to the others. "They're out there," he points towards the end with their observers, "Lets go this way, shall we?" he points in the opposite direction down the alley. "And for God's sake cover yourselves. We can harden the mask for a reason."

Should have known this. Should have said something. I can flee this place. What about them?

The Dread Lord turns on a heel and starts heading towards the far end of the alley, away from the lookouts.

He still has the umbrella, if Sera wants to stay dry....

[Sonnie Wu]

If her hearing weren't so augmented right now, she might have missed much of what the others were saying under the thundering of her heartbeat. As it was, she merely grunted to Rhodes' suggestion to cloak their fae natures. She did so, annoyed that she hadn't thought to do it earlier. Sometimes, you just get used to having a tail and weird feet.

Sonnie was split. She wanted to move ahead of Seraphina, to intercept possible attacks from the front, but she also needed to keep the sentinels in view as the group moved away.

Plus, there was Titania. She had to make sure the stubborn Telluric actually left with them.

"You walk out," she jerked her head towards the other two Fairest under the umbrella, indicating the Bright One needed to follow them. Her eyes stayed on the shadows.

"Or you get packed out like a sack of potatoes. Choose."

[Seraphina]

Truth be told, she had gotten so comfortable not having to hide what she was, it didn’t dawn on her until now. Until Rhodes spoke.

So she called on some Glamour to hide what she really was. Hide the golden scales. Hide the gold and silver that was her hair. But at least she was still attractive without it.

Staying close to Rhodes, not really for the umbrella, that ship was sailed and she was already soaked. But for the comfort. And he already stormed off once, it wasn’t going to happen again.

Pausing, she looks to Sonnie, also torn. She didn’t want to go ahead, what if the other Springs needed her. And a little part was curious if the Beast would indeed, carry the Telluric out. But she doesn’t pause long, though she will keep looking behind, keeping an eye on them just in case.

[Rhodes]

Rhodes gives Sonnie a single nod. If any of them could come close to understanding instinctual Fear, it was the Beast.

He heads down to the end of the alleyway, gently keeping Sera with him. "Let's go, darling. Out then end. Then left."

If Titania no longer had the sense to follow, that was on her.
