Asa reviewed the folder at his Haven. He realized that Ishani would be busy throughout the proceedings, and he also had yet to 'feel out' this Joe O'Connell. If he got the impression he couldn't handle him, then he'd go from there. Time was growing short.
Leaving, he walked a block to a pay phone, and rang the Detective's cell phone.

The phone picks up.
"O'Connel, how can I help you?"

"Hello, Mr. O'Connel," Asa replied. "I was given your number by a mutual friend. He suggested to me that you were interested in the disposition of a particular individual?"
|
|

|
|
|
"Disposition of a particular individual. I'm sorry but I'm not following. Whom am I speaking with?" Joe asks innocently enough.
|

|
|

"I'm sorry, I must have been misinformed," Asa replied. "I'll leave you to your evening then?"
Police were all the same. If he had to crush this Kine's mind to do the job, he would. Unfortunately, Asa was much better at imposing his will than repairing the trauma it sometimes caused. Still, it was Kine. Icarus never said to be gentle.

"Sure. have a good..." Joe stops and thinks , before it clicks.
"cryptic guy on a phone who doesn't seem to care. Where does that remind me of. No Way." Joe thinks.
"Wait! The guy in the speakerbox? so then." Joe pauses. "Lets try this again. Yes, I am interested in the particular individual."

Asa refrained from complimenting the man on his prowess as a Detective.
"Excellent," he replied. "Can we meet at State Capitol Park to discuss this? Obviously I'd like you to come alone."

Joe sighs. One of these days.
"Thats acceptable. How will I recognize you?"
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
"I'll be the one that finds you, sitting alone on a bench, in the middle of the park," Asa says with laughter in his voice.
"I'm fairly tall, Caucasian, with brown hair," he continues. "I'll see you at 8 pm?"

|
|
|
"Thank you sir. I look forward to it."
