As we mature, we all draw lines for ourselves; what we are, or are not, willing to do. Some might refuse to commit crimes, or do manual labor. Others might draw that line at waiting tables, or cleaning toilets.

I took a silent breath as I pondered my personal lines. Babysitting and entertaining had never really been on the table.

A few months ago, I'd twisted a knee and gotten some Vicodin... maybe I still had some left.

"Great!"
I forced out, trying not to gag on the words. "I'll be over in, like, two hours!"

That was enough time to put on 'respectable' clothes and makeup.

I might have to make a stop to buy said clothes.
