(Hedge Storm) Tunnel Rats

There seemed to be no signs of poison but the blood of the creatures seemed oily and sucked in all light.

"Is this toxic?" Harvey asked with a wry grin. Sparks looked over and shook her head. The grin blossomed as he looked upon it and stuck his hand into a the body of one of the spiders, coating his hand in the blood. He then quickly wiped it over his face and exposed parts of his skin, which acted as fine camo.

Terri, without a grin or any facial expressions what so ever, done the same, her red fur quickly becoming coated and tacky. Restrapping her slingshot, she removed the vine-whip from around her waist and let it flow out beside her. She moved up beside the mouth of tunnel two, waiting for the others as Sparks, Harvey and Lamplight headed towards tunnel one.

"Good hunting," Harvey sent to his fellow Sacramento freeholders before vanishing into tunnel one, blunderbuss in hand.

[Nightfall]

Half memories of sawing scales off of a corpse to use as armor skittered across Nightfall's memory like a dark, silent spider in an attic as he watched. He nodded to Harvey, a silent acknowledgment of a good idea, and followed suit. He left his blades untouched; even a millisecond of delay in pulling a sticky blade free might be the difference between life an death.

Once done, he nodded again at the Ogrest's words. "You too," he replied softly, moving to join the others and head into the tunnel.

[Xerxia]

After seeing the effect the ichor of the spiders was having on her compatriots, Xerxia doesn't hesitate long to camouflage her exposed skin as well. "We might as well take every advantage we can get," she says with a shrug, mostly to justify it to herself.

She then regroups with the others going down the first tunnel, taking a little time to infuse a little Glamour into her main khukri while she cleans the blood off of it.
