Eyes upon Mary as she spoke with a shy thankful smile.
"Sadly it does seem that way, I am sorry to have darkened your day twice." Leaving them be for their talks, not particularly interested in eaves dropping on their words or discussion. Still parts of his words were near impossible to not make out, his voice to clear cutting through the air.
Instead focusing her attention on the burger eating one, damn she was hungry, where had this woman gotten that burger, and did they have some a bit bloodier perhaps?
"I really should not have offered you all the drinks I did then." Looking a bit awkwardly away. "We just talked really though, that was all, you two and some other man I have never seen before. So nothing to crazy whilst I was around at least." A rooftop? Yikes she seems to live in interesting life.
Gazing up at the giant as he turned to speak to her.
"I do not know you no, and I have continuously apologized for my behavior. For trying to see if you could be a rare one who could understand aspects I cannot talk with most about, I see now that the gaze, size and odd way of showing concern are the only similarities between you and my father." No her father would never stoop to this level of behavior. "Still they were just words, do not go insulting me between hushed breaths." Feeling the rage coming over her, how dare he, a young frail soul first insult her and then try to threaten her? Her, a natural born warrior and killing machine, carrying a soul from times when Pangea was still a thing, fueled by rage, baptized in blood, the top predators who had a body of flesh. Feeling the all to familiar phantom sensation of blood under her nails, claws wanting to come out, mouth wanting to widen, to bite and claw, to show this fool of a giant how small he was as suddenly the unexpected word of the cheeseburger woman comes over her.
All her rage lost, blinking once, twice, thrice, just staring at her completely lost for a moment. Head seeming fully empty, gazing at her, or in her direction at least but taking nothing in, the word bang just replaying again and again in her mind. Slowly feeling the all to familiar red hue overtake her cheeks, her arms, and chest alike, forgetting how to breathe, just trying to stutter a reply but getting no air into her lungs, no sound, just slowly shaking her head unable to do much else. A sense of fear in her spine, of anger wanting to push forward, but neither having the room to navigate her near frozen state unable to do much more than just keep on slowly shaking her head with curiously warm eyes upon the woman.
