Time ticks by. Tick tock. Jennifer glanced around the room. She noted that some other Kindred seemed to not be present, those considered the faceless masses. As nobody of note spoke, Jennifer glanced between those standing with her.
"Reeve." Jennifer stated. "As well as anyone else, I bid you good night."

Jennifer walked to the coat check, collected her ghoul and tended to her scarf to ensure that her scarf covered her scar. Jennifer departed court.

An unexpected quiet had fallen over the Court. Otto was a little taken aback by the pall that had fallen over the room, as if all the Kindred assembled had simultaneously decided to wordlessly observe one another. He was about to say something until the Seneschal beat him to the punch before taking her leave of the Court. Fear momentarily gripped him as he wondered if he specifically had done something to anger the Domain official. More likely we've all just bored her.

It was not quite relief... but close enough. Once she was completely out of earshot, the Priest cleared his throat. Pure affectation, but he hoped it would draw some degree of attention from the other assembled Kindred. "Reeve Kingsley, this may be an odd question, but I find myself overwhelmed by curiosity. Whether they're called Sheriff or Reeve, Kindred in your position tend to be capable fighters. What is your preferred means of... dealing with threats? Rifle? Blade?" The Priest tried to keep his tone relatively casual. Sure, openly discussing your preferred means of killing people might seem crass to normal people, but it wasn't quite so garish amongst Kindred... depending on how you phrased it.

Silence reigned for what felt like an eternity. At the next moment of convenience, Otto grabbed the attention of a Kindred he vaguely recognized as a lay member of the Sanctum. It provided a convenient excuse to remove himself from Court. "Apologies, I just recalled some important matters about the upcoming Feast that merited discussion. Good evening."

The Ventrue broke from the small circle of Kindred.
