Hauntingly Savage

[Jennifer Hazelton]

Jennifer sat in the back of her luxury car as Liam, returned from his visit to the Ventrue Priscus, passed her a letter. A few minutes later, Liam opened the rear door and escorted Jennifer towards what she considered in her mind to be Hauntingly Savage refuge. As the two disarm the security system and step inside, Jennifer called in a lady - like manner with her Cursed, serpent voice.
"Alessandra? I have a matter to discuss with you before we move to Nox." Jennifer moved towards the sitting area, the letter from Jack in her hand as she made herself comfortable in the seat.
"Priscus Jack reminded me of a matter when I asked him to be present for Priscus Baker's inquiry."

[Alessandra]

Ale heard the door and the voice, putting down a gun and walking into the room, wiping her hands on a rag.

Spotting Jenn, she nods, “I had figured that would come up.” Jacque had asked her permission previously for a separate matter. Even when he was Seneschal. “He needs my permission to use his Gifts?” she already knew, but you never exactly know.

Jennifer looks over to Alessandra as she speaks.
" Yes. He wants you to approve his use of his Gifts for this occurrence. He mentions that you could text him with the permission. Although I am curious if he has something more than that on his mind."
Jennifer states, with a look down at the letter.
"He mentioned that this is a subject that he wants to discuss with me in greater detail."

[Alessandra]

Tossing the rag over her shoulder, she sits, “It makes sense, he has asked in the past. But by text? Can you show me he said that?” thinking a moment, “Not that I don’t believe you, I’m just surprised he was ok with it by text.” But he could just not want to cut into whatever she was doing. “I had intended to be at Nox anyways, because I don’t foresee this going well.” And having someone there with actual fighting experience would be good. Plus if someone needed to be put down, easier with her there.

An eyebrow raises, then a shoulder, “He doesn’t always talk with me about whatever is on his mind. It sounds like it could a few different things. But having a discussion about whatever it is couldn’t hurt.” Always easier that way.

"Here is the letter. It surprised me as well."
Jennifer held out the letter to Alessandra.


"There is something that I want to talk with you after the prisoners are sorted out.". Jennifer says to Alessandra.
"I have had time to work out the meeting that Priscus Jack and I had."

A slightly dirty hand accepts the letter, looking it over before handing it back.

“Well, I have no issues sending him the text, but like I said, I intend to be at Nox for the whole thing.” Reaching into her pocket she takes out her cell and works on a quick message to Jacque, while still listening to Jenn. Multitasking was her thing when it needed to be.

An eyebrow arches, “Oh? Will this discussion be official or unofficial?” which hat did she need to wear?

"That is good." Jennifer replies as the Prince declares that she would be present. "I have to admit, Priscus Baker being the one to report to me was a surprise.
Unofficial." Jennifer tilts her head for a moment as she thought. She continues speaking slowly, with care behind her words.

"I have some thoughts that I want your opinion on, thats all. No emergency." She looks at Alessandra for a moment. "I am all set to move to Nox, if you agree."

[Alessandra]

“I figure if things go wrong, I should at least be able to quickly get there.” Would things go wrong? More than likely. “It is a surprise, but maybe this is him taking charge and putting himself out there. A welcome change I believe.” She hoped it continued.

At the word of it being unofficial, “Unofficial it is then.” Which worked just fine for her. “Just let me know when you want to meet and I’ll free up the evening.” she had a feeling there was a bit of tension between Jenn and Jacque. But what it was about, or anything else, she had no idea.

“You can go ahead, I need to change and I’ll have Gabriel drive me over. I’m guessing maybe ten to fifteen minutes before I arrive.” Sure, she could go dressed in her greasy clothes from oiling her guns, but she didn’t want to.

"We may need to rely on your ability as a former Reeve." Jennifer states to Alessandra, her words honest and her expression open. "I trained with Helen a bit, yet not enough to be confident in my ability to stake someone. I appreciate someone taking charge. Priscus Baker is a delightful person to converse with. I intend to meet with him more often to improve our rapport.
I am hopeful that Whip Wells may be considered as a potential Deputy. He has initiative. Someone willing to put themselves on the line - and not vanish frequently - is a welcome addition. Excellent." Jennifer stood.

"I shall see you there? I assume you want to take one of your beautiful cars. I am still breaking in the new luxury car.
Until we see one another again."
The two ladies move to their vehicles and move with appropriate haste to Nox.
