Continued from (City on Fire) Up To Speed...

If they arrive together, or separately the Lost eventually make their way downtown, and towards the bar their only lead and lead them. A matchbook with the Pour House writ in a bright neon red. Which is echoing the neon signage lit up on the roof of the bar. A one story affair, set in the middle of a strip mall. The windows are blacked out with dusty black blinds, and the door has the hours taped to it, and another neon, and blinking open sign inviting them in.

This is a continuation from the last scene! Any WP/Glamour you've used WILL NOT refresh. And unless you've rolled the suxx, or have used a power that would last a day, the ability has ended. With each post, please include your stats and equipment.

[Jasper]

Jasper is happy to accept the ride in the SUV though he does ask to stop by his home van to pick up a few things first. He doesn't get much out of the van but he does stop by at one of the nearby tents to thank them and pick up a puppy that gets promptly slipped into one of his coat's pockets. With pup in tow, he gives directions to the bar to the Vernal Queen, climbing into the backseat and stretching his legs off to the side to give him the most room while letting Vincent take the shotgun seat.

Along the way, he takes out his puppy and pet-ruffles along him, comforting and being comforted by the touches. "Ah can leave Squire in the car, if you'd prefer. Just thought he might be a bit of use for myself and Vinny here. He doesn't need to come with us though, he can stay and protect the car." he says with a bit of a laugh. He frowns after a second and then sits up to glance between the other Changelings. "Hope it won't matter, but do you have any food on you?"

[Seraphina]

The Nix has gotten into the habit of keeping a bag in the Tahoe, just for situations like this. Thankfully she was already casual in black jeans and tank top. But the leather jacket was swapped out for her Hedgespun one, because you just never know what was going to happen. Her dagger was slid into her back pocket, in its sheath, which clipped onto the pocket. There was a small patch sewn onto the hip of her jeans, a water drop.

Her purse has gauze and medical tape, plus some aspirin. A small notebook and pencil go in next, as well as a compact with a mirror.

She was more than happy to bring Jasper where he wanted to go, not asking questions.

As to the puppy, “I don’t mind you bringing him. I love puppies, people love puppies,” good for putting them at ease, “and if he’ll be useful to you guys, all the better.” Pulling up a couple blocks away, “Food?” looking in her bag, then checking the glove box, “I have treats.” Holding the bag out to him, “I keep them on hand for Fugly, but I’m sure he won’t mind sharing.” She always had Sonnie and Fugly in the SUV, so the treats made sense.

“Oh, quick question, what does everyone go by? I just go by Sarah, Sarah Jones to be exact.” Always good to get that out of the way.

[Jasper]

Jasper smirks slightly at the offer of treats and damned if he doesn't lick his chops at the sight of them. He takes the baggie and takes a few out of the bag before handing it back. "Thanks. It was mostly for a catch, in case it's needed, but these are also my favorite," he says, sniffing at them once before slipping one into his snout with a crunch and then offering the rest to Squire. He gently pets the pup's ears as he sits in the backseat, focusing for a moment on the feel of those ears as he urges a clause into working.

The Beast was quiet on the drive to the bar, maybe a bit too quiet. Lost in thought, he was trying to figure what could be leading to the fires, as well as what they would need to look for once they reached the bar. Getting out of the vehicle, Vincent took his firearm out of his backpack and secured it to his waist. He then pulled his shirt over it, hiding the firearm from view. As a bounty hunter, he carried a CCL.

"So, how do you want to approach this?", the Beast asked his companions. "Not knowing exactly who or what we are looking for, I think we should question the staff first as they will be more than likely able to tell us if their regulars have been acting different, or if they have been visited by someone squirrelly looking."

A shrug, “Take the rest of them if you like, I have more at my coffee shop.” Was always good to have treats on hand for when pets came through. Especially Fugly. Seeing Jasper eat one of the treats didn’t bother her, she’d seen other Lost eat far weirder things.

Nodding at the name, “Nice to met you as well Jasper Flanagan.” She could tell he was going to be fun to work with.

“Well, I’m good at getting people to trust me and open up. I can also muddle their thoughts if we need, or get them to focus more on me then anyone else. So if you guys prefer me to keep quiet until needed, I can do that. But I agree that the staff is a good place to start, but it depends on how much they trust us and want to open up.”

Pausing before she opens her door, she takes a moment to Harden her Mask. It might help, it might not, guess they'll see.

[Jasper]

Jasper grins wide at Sara and nods, slipping the baggie into an interior pocket before carefully slipping Squire into one of the larger outside pockets. The pup's pretty much used to this perch by now, as he gets a few scratches behind his ear before carefully slipping out of the car and straightening up. He nods to Vincent's suggestion. "That does sound like a pretty good idea, yeah."

He stretches for a moment, lifting up on the balls of his feet before turning towards the bar. "You don't need to keep quiet, but if things go sideways we might just need those charms of yours, Sarah," he says, glancing towards the open door and then back to her as he sees her Mask harden, watching those sapphire eyes become normal, if still captivating blue. "You're just full of good ideas." he says before hardening his own Mask, his usual canid head dissolving into that of a ruddy-bearded Irish man. He is still his gentle giant self as he reaches to open the door for the other two Freeholders.

A quick nod, “Sounds like a plan.” Her voice would already draw attention. A half smirk, “I have my moments.”

She wasn’t far behind Jasper, eager to see if they would be able to gather any useful information. Surely someone wanted to talk, someone always wanted to talk. Sticking her hands in her jacket pockets, she walks in, eyes taking in the room.

Vincent hardened his mask as he walked behind the other two. He stayed quiet, on alert mode now, as he looked around the bar. Being a bounty hunter, he knew what to look for when it came to people. It was not the loud ones you wanted to question, but the quiet ones that seemed to want to blend into their surroundings.
