There’s certainly a moment of disconnect for Conner: moving from the slithering voice of Jennifer to the shark like countenance of Bellemy. But it’s a worthwhile moment. “Eventful, to say the least. The Moore House is re-opened, and I’m leading sermons there. Naturally, this means I’m spending more time in my office in the House than anywhere else.” There’s a proud weariness he lets show here.
“Beyond that, I’ve been serving as Clan Whip and being more involved with Domain investigations.” Though that’s been more of a relief than the busywork of the House. He wonders if Bellemy has had any ambitions within her own Clan. Especially now that…
Come to think of it, I haven’t seen O’Brien in a while now. “Pardon my asking, Bellemy. But have you heard much of O’Brien? Connor?”
