Vincent shook his head, "I am not sure how to say this, I smell something....pink. I mean, it reminds me of something pink. It is sickly sweet, like honeysuckle on a warm summer day." He had hoped to get his point across. He decided to take another sniff to see if he could get a better handle on what he was smelling.

Jasper perks his ears at the sound of that meaty crack coming from the corpse as he works his nose. It wrinkles slightly at the smell of rot and he looks back over to Circe. "You might want to skip it's leg, at least around that wound on it.. It might have been in there for a while as Ah smell rot coming off of it."

He glances over at Vincent when he says smelling something sweet and pink and he inhales sharply, trying to pick it out as well.

Vincent keeps smelling, pink, cotton candy and flowers, cloying and artificial.

With Vincent's direction, Jasper also catches the pink scent. It's not like anything real, but it invokes sweet and clinging never leaving his nostrils scents.

Vincent realizes that the scent is too faint to track from his location, so he decides that he is going to look around the area for any scents or tracks that may tell him the direction that the Briar Wolf came from. Getting close to the Briar Wolf to get a good whiff of its scent, and then walking around to see if he can get a whiff of a similar scent.

"Pink?" That throws Circe off a little bit. How was what the crap? Vincent was confusing. "Wait, ya can eat honeysuckle?" She didn't know that. "Oookay," she isn't sure on that, "Just so long as it isn't something Doom Pink, grrr," she pulls hard on the hide after sticking in the machete, "Right Jasper. Skip leg day."


She tries to get it done faster, getting the blade in quick.

When Jasper realizes that Vincent is trying to track that scent, his canine instincts kick in and he starts sniffing about in an attempt to do the same and find the source of this pink scent. He closes his eyes for a moment to clear out other thoughts and quiet his brain before he starts to sniff filter out the scents of blood and his companions, focusing on that sickly sweet scent and starts trying to locate it. He opens his eyes before starting to move, not wanting to travel through the Thorns without all of his senses.

Circe's almost got all there is to get, she could leave it here and still have quite the haul, but it's not a perfect 100% which might grate on the Summer Sovereign.

Vincent doesn't catch more of the cloying pink scent, but he does scent the direction the briar wolf must have come from....and don't briar wolves hunt in packs....?

Jasper on the other hand, can't not lose the pink scent, cloying and omnipresent. It leads off into the distance, deeper into the Hedge.

Vincent responded to Circe , "Yes I smelled pink, do not ask. And I am not aware if you can eat honeysuckle but if you ever been near a field in the spring you would know that the smell can be sickly sweet."

Vincent then points in the direction of the scent, "We may want to avoid that direction, as that is where the briar wolf came from. I am not sure where its pack is at, but it could be close by still."

Finally, Circe got the bulk of the skin properly prepared. Teeth and claws? Her multitool came with pliers.

"Hmm," Circe links in the direction of the wovles and picks up her rifle. "I should have lent ya boys rifles and armor a'fore we hunt a wolf pack. I have ammo, but you boys don't have the armor ta tank agro." She nods in agreement, "Oh, hey? Either of ya got rope or soemthing? Otherwise, someone needs ta use an arm ta carry the bloody bundle bag back. Need ta figure out what i did with the bungee cords."

Jasper nods in agreement, licking his nose a few times as he can't help but keep sniffing at the scent of pink in the air. He may not be a cat but his curiosity is going to get the better of him, eventually...

He glances over to where Vincent's pointing and nods one before turning flicking his ears towards the Fairest. "Uh.. Closest thing I have is the bow string.. Ah don't mind carrying it if we have to. Are we gonna go track down this pink smell? It's off in that direction, deeper into the Thorn..." he says, pointing with his nose first and then raising up his hand to help indicate.
