Eternal Court

The Nox Populi is an upscale experience that will take Sacramento nightlife to a whole new level.

In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

However the Kindred arrive they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions. The Court area is decorated with long black and brown silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Draped in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, but without the pulse of the music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulchre.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not decorated for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees. The furniture setting is familiar now: a set of elegant chairs, all dark wood and red leather, arranged in a circle. The baroque lighting leaves the corners of the Elysium commons in deep shadow.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

Eternal Court is open once more...

Eternal Court is not a singular event. Always open and in constant motion, a compression of the comings and goings of Kindred within Elysium throughout the nights. As such, Eternal Court is also never truly empty; this can include 'faceless masses' of Kindred beneath notice, ghouls, herd members, devotees, or even officials in their offices.

[Conner Wells]

The approach to Elysium is full of noise and bodies. Even with the cacophony of New Year's Eve celebration having died down mere hours ago there's still an air of celebration throughout.

And Conner feels it as he presses through the crowd and clamor towards the steps of Elysium. No weapon to hand off at the coat check this time, just his coat. He's dressed in dark blue with his suit jacket and pants with a green dress shirt underneath. All complemented by the Lancea signet ring on his finger. The Shadow takes the steps into Elysium and is welcomed by the buzzing quiet of what few meager presences can be found on the floor. As he lands level from the stairs he hovers by one of the side pillars as he cherishes the silence while it lasts.

[Seryna]

An unassuming Latino woman known as Simone Perez enters Court. Her Beast rolls out to greet the others BP 3. Her stocky body is well-muscled, and scarred. Her short, straight black hair is brushed back and pinned with a small clip into some more passable style for Formal Court. She presented herself in a modest blue calf length dress with 3/4 sleeves. A scar at her collarbone peeked out, three lines that resembled claw marks. Madame Perez gives Whip Wells a nod.
She approaches the Mekhet.
“How are you this evening?” She inquires. “I don’t suppose you know if there is to be a gathering of the Clan planned? I thought that I heard something about that.”

The entrance was crossed by a beautiful woman looking into the Elysium proper. She was striking in appearance, with shoulder length dark hair styled in loose waves. She wore a trumpet style dress in midnight blue. Her beast was cloaked. The woman approached the two Mekhet.
Nods were given to Wells and Perez.
"Good evening to you, Whip Wells.” She greets with courtesy. Dark eyes look to Simone Perez. She waits a moment, calm.

[Adeline Martin]

Adeline descended the stairs of Elysium with a soft smile on her lips, her low heels making little noise on the staircase as she made her way into Elysium proper. She was dressed in a sapphire blue satin blouse with three oversized pearls at the throat, and pearl accents on the back of the cuffs holding them closed, a more feminine French cuff, a long navy skirty and low kitten heels completed the look. Her hair was pulled up into a high bun and sprayed into place. Her make up was practiced and deliberately applied in neutral tones.

Seeing Whip Wells was engaged with some other Kindred, she gave him space unless he wanted to chat in Elysium. The push and pull of her beast was distracting for a moment anyway. Getting used to the feelings of fear was still something to get used too. It did highlight that she had become far to reliant on discipline to shield her from such facets of the Requiem. A fair observation. A lot of Kindred in Elysium chose to Mask their beasts, Whip Wells was one of them she noticed again as she nodded politely to him, and smiled at Simone Perez and the other striking Kindred who was saying hello.

[Jennifer Hazelton]

The Lady held herself with dignity as she strode away from the coat check, having dropped off a small black leather bag. She wore a green Terani Couture designer dress, tailored for her 5'7'' frame. Jennifer wore flats that she could easily walk in. Her silk scarf was black, carefully draped to conceal one side of her neck and shoulder. An antique Victorian brooch in gold with an ivy leaf motif clasped the silk scarf. Her dark brown hair was swept into a plaited updo.

She wore two pieces of jewelry that she prized, an emerald ring on her right hand.
Jennifer wore achocolate diamond and white diamond ring on her left hand.

Dark brown eyes look over the Kindred drifting in, noting her Grace had not yet arrived. Honestly, the absence of that powerful Beast that prowled out from the Prime Predator like a crashing wave was the clue that she needed. A second glance looking for the Ventrue Priscus was made. Assured that she was not slighting her betters, Jennifer looked over the room.
A nod of respect according to the Whip of his Clan was paid to Whip Wells. Brown eyes light on Madame McIntyre and Madame Perez, giving lesser nods to the two speaking with Whip Wells. Jennifer notes Adeline and gives the beautiful Ventrue a slight nod.

[Conner Wells]

And just like that there's the fightfleefightfleefleeflee from the monster within. Conner turns to give a nod towards Ms. Perez. "Welcome, Ms. Perez. Yes, I believe we'd spoken about a Clan meeting; Priscus Baker and I. But we'd been unfortunately side-tracked by investigations and the re-opening of the Moore House." Admittedly, being Mekhet Whip has been a lot less eventful in the past few months. But no need to jinx things now. "I trust your nights have been well."

Another Beast approaches, and Conner recognizes Madame McIntyre. "Madame McIntyre. A pleasure to see you again." He looks between the two formidable figures who've decided to gang up on him converse with him this night. ​"Ms. Perez, this is Madame McIntyre, a visitor to Sacramento on business. Madame McIntyre, this is Ms. Perez of Clan Mekhet." He hopes the offer of introduction will alleviate any tensions between the two...and also distract them from himself alone.

Another rack of presences buffet him, though these are more familiar. Conner gives Adeline a welcoming nod. He still hasn't had a chance to have a full conversation with the new Ventrue. He also gives Priscus Hazelton a bow of recognition, noting the Nosferatu's glamorous appearance. How much of that is personal preference and how much is Invictus iconography? ​He wonders as his fingers briefly run across his Lancea ring.

[Seryna]

"Good evening, Madame McIntyre." Simone bid Madame McIntyre politely. "Would I be correct to hazard that you are a member of the Invictus? I am a Maiden of the Crone."
A look back to Conner. "Yes, I have been well, thank you for asking. I hope that you have been well?"
Simone looks over to the beuatiful Ventrue's entrance and gives Adeline a polite nod. She follows Conner's lead on giving Priscus Hazelton a bow.
The Mekhet considers Conner's words for a moment with a thoughtful frown.
"I see. I am availiable when there is time on both of your schedules. Regarding investigations, I do have some information on the comings and goings of a certain shop that I was asked to keep under surveilance. Could you and I meet later to go over my findings?" Simone suggested.

Madame McIntyre turned slightly as Conner and Simone gave greetings to others. The Ventrue followed Conner's lead in performing a perfect curtsy to the Priscus Hazleton. Adeline was given a polite smile and slightly deeper nod.
"Thank you for the introduction, Whip Wells." Madame McIntyre gave him a pleasant smile.

"Yes, you presume correctly, Ms. Perez. I am a member of the First Estate. I am the childe of Lady Technologist Mary McIntyre, childe of Baron Edmund Van Woods. I am here to seek out information, as Whip Wells so kindly informed of. Are you a Deputy, Ms. Perez?"
"It is good to meet you, Madame McIntyre. Oh, no. Kindred in good standing are able to assist in investigations. I was curious if Whip Wells would be interested in help." A glance to Conner Wells.

[Albert Baker]

Another night, another court... There were many things to do, people to talk to and perhaps plans to set in motion...

Thus Al entered the Nox as usual in one of his three-piece-suits (today it was the stone grey one) in combination with a white shirt, the striped tie, black very clean dress shoes, the silver amulet that his sire had given him which showed his Goddess and the lapel pin who announced his covenant much more subtly. He took his coat and hat to the wardrobe as usually, then he prepared for the assault on his mind with a prayer before stepping into the main room and commencing the greetings, while successfully resisting the urge to turn around and run.

As he stepped closer to those already present he allocated nods as apptropriate to rank and station of the corresponding persons while adressing them. Slight ones for most, a slightly deeper one for his Whip and a deeper one for his fellow Priscus.

"Priscus Hazelton. Mr. Wells. Mrs. Martin. Mrs. Perez. Mrs. McIntyre. Good evening."

[Bellemy]

Bellemy sat in the back of the room unnoticed by design. The creature held a silent vigil to observe the patterns of movement among the court. Bellemy noted the arrival of Conner Wells , one who interested the haunt with secrets of arts unknown. Bellemy felt no fervor at his arrival since he had long since quieted his beast. The Mekhet was followed by the beautiful Simone Perez, whose beast caused Bellemy's own to recoil in rage. After a cycle of calming breaths Bellemy offered both a nod of respect in greeting from across the room.

Another Kindred soon caught Bellemy's eye as Adeline Martin e descended the stairs of Elysium. Again Bellemy's beast raged but was quickly silenced with practiced skill. Another nod of respect was offered to the dazzling lord in sapphire.

Another figure graced the court with her presence. At the arrival of Jennifer Hazelton Bellemy stood and offered a formal bow to match Conner's. A sign of reverence and respect to Jennifer's commitment to the clan.
Albert Baker entered the Nox and Bellemy bowed at the neck to the priscus of the Mekhet.

The night was young and there was time to wait and watch.

[Adeline Martin]

Adeline smiled and bowed her head in deep respect to the valued member of the domain present this evening. Adeline adored her outfit openly with her eyes, giving the Lady Notary Hazelton a knowing smile. She wanted her to know she found the outfit lovely.

Next of course was Whip Wells, Priest of the Lancea Sanctum and she gave him a deep nod but not a head bow that was bestowed on Lady Notary. She had wondered about the domain's only priest for awhile now.

When Priscus Baker joined the throng he was given an acknowledgement comisserate with his station and a brief, albeit curious smile.

When Bellamy entered, Adeline did a slight double take, as she had remembered the creature from last court. Of course with her own comings and goings she hadn't been able to really focus on her then. If she were the shivering in her shoes type, she would be shivering right about now. Still she noted her manners and returned the nod with a slightly shy smile.

Madame McIntyre recieved a nod, family was family after all, a shallower one to Ms. Simone Perez, as Adeline was slowly beginning to recognize other Kindred now.
