Belle’s getting desperate. All she can think of is her friends bleeding and their little pocket of the world collapsing around them. All while Paradox loomed. No! We can do this!

She lashes out again with her blade, but even with distance removed as a factor there is still accuracy to worry about. And her accuracy fails her with this strike. She grits her teeth in frustration but refuses to back down.

Phoenyx exits the scene.

As the mages falter against the creature a golden glyph blossoms in the dumpster. The creature's eyes flick about as anxiously as ever. It's stingerstalk puts it's teeth away, and the mages themselves can feel the connection to who or whatever was casting the spell. Though the glyph itself was inside, they knew they were being watched.

With Moira bleeding out and Phoenyx gone though, what were they going to do about it?

Phoenyx slipped away and while Witch wanted to turn and yell at her, demand she come back, question her as to why... she couldn't. There was shit happening.

Well. Happening and not happening.

Happening: Moira bleeding out & unseen watcher watching
Not Happening: Nothingness attacking & Sacramento mages destroying it

It was time for a new tactic.

Stepping forward, Witch slammed the door to the dumpster shut and turned to Belle .

"New plan... pausing she waited to see if Belle was on board, "We lock this shit up. I can do that once the heat is a little lower. Get Moira help. And then figure out a way to deal with it. Thoughts?"

Was it a good plan? Nope. But clearly broad daylight attack mode sans their best fighter was also not a good plan.

Belle exits the scene as well.

The door to the dumpster now closed, With can hear some thrashing within amongst the garbage and then.... silence. She lost the sensation she was being watched. Which left her with Moira bleeding out, an active anomaly, multiple sleeper witnesses inside and out.

So, what is she going to do about it?

We can drop out of initiative unless you want to reopen the dumpster and see why no sound is coming out anymore. Belle and Phoenyx have left the scene due to repeatedly not conforming to the site posting rates and will not rejoin this plot or any others.

[Witch]

And ... Belle wasn't interested in the new plan. And she hadn't even gotten to say it yet. Witch's fingers curled, her hands forming fists at her side.

She got that it was a not good situation, but to just leave ... It was hard to swallow down the rage that she felt rising in her again, but she did. One problem on hold with the Watcher gone and even if the Nothingness wasn't gone, at least it was quiescent at the moment.

Which just left Moira and the folks around. Despite what some would say about her Order, she knew that Moira was in fact the priority.

Kneeling down, she pulled on what she knew of stopping someone from bleeding out.

Which it turns out was nothing. She needed help and damn her fellow mages. Looking up she scanned for the nearest sleeper.

"She was attacked! I need help!"

Witch's calls for help were promptly answered. On this particular campus medical training was easy to come by and they eventually manage to help Moira to the hospital despite the fatigue of the anomaly. She spends several hours in ER, but is finally stabilized. The wounds of the animal attack won't ever fully heal. They were to severe to, but Moira herself would survive and thrive. She slowly makes her recovery before being released, deciding to leave Sacramento once she fully heals.

End plot. I might revisit this once more players join us, but this is closed for the time being. Thanks to those involved and I hope you enjoyed it.
