(2211) Seeing and knowing

After some circulation, the Lord's eyes flicked towards Adeline Martin and lingered. It was time to make good on the promise.

He bowed deeply to Alessandra as she made her way in. A stunning dress to be sure... followed by the reappearance of Cain.

Once his fellow Lord arrived he commented, "You certainly wasted no time in mingling." There was an accompanying grin to dull the remark from a criticism to an impression. "You did splendid with your choice of outfit as well."

Adeline made her way over to the Seneschal swiftly. One did not waste any time when summoned. Even as subtly as the Lord had done so.


“Good evening Seneschal Jack.” She paused and bowed her head to him, even though she had already made her gesture of respect prior. She chuckled gently at his assertion, and nodded once. “Yes, well you did say to be on time, and I arrived promptly.” And took advantage of it just as you had envisioned. Adeline smiled gently at the compliment and said simply “Thank you Seneschal Jack.” And she made a pointed look at his ensemble. “I have enjoyed your character coming to life as it were in the ‘Invisible Man.’ She commented, still smiling. Pleasantries were exchanged, and even though they had met only once prior, it was quite noticeable that the Lord was having a good time.

A smirk of approval traced across the Lord's lips. Indeed she had followed his instruction quite deliberately.

"I'm glad you like it," an honest response to the compliment. "I suppose we should keep you from stumbling into any social pitfalls..." he mused as the Court usually was a political minefield.

He gestured towards Alessandra, "She would be the Alder Prince Alessandra Antinori. She is also the Priscus of the Domain's Gangrel. With her is the valued Lady Notary Jennifer Hazelton. She is also the Priscus of the Nosferatu. She is currently the only member of the Invictus who prefers to be addressed as Lady Notary in mixed company." An important note to some outside of the covenant.

"You already met the Whip of the Nosferatu, Mister O'Brien, but," he gestures to the soldier and father, "The character of a father there is the Priscus of the Mehket, Mister Albert Baker. Is is also the sole notable member of the Circle of the Crone. The soldier with him is the city's only notable Priest of the Sanctified and Whip of the Mehket, Conner Wells."

"Ms Kingsley and Mr. Heinrich you've also already met, though Mr. Heinrich is the only Daeva of note acknowledged and Ms Kingsley is of the same representation of the Movement."

He paused for any questions now that the various names had been spoken and most likely their eyes would be on them for a few moments.

Elizabeth gave her fellow Lord a knowing smile and nodded. "I do!" She paused and affirmed to him she did in fact want that guidance with a little nod. Her gaze followed her fellow Lord's introductions, providing little details here and there that likely could have been missed. The pieces of the court started fitting together into a more cohesive whole.

The bit about the Priscus Hazelton wanting to be called 'Lady Notary,' which only meant something within her covenent was definitely filed in the 'good to know,' pile, and would certainly help shape any interaction with her in the future. She also noted that that was not the Prince's preference, because Adeline definitely fell into the 'mixed company' category.

Her gaze moved over Priscus Baker and Conner Wells, taking their measure each in turn. How fascinating that they were both heads of their respective covenants. Very interesting.

Ms. Kinsley was of the Carthian Movement?! How interesting! She would make it a point to speak with her. She knew little of this Movement, and was rather intrigued to say the least. She was mildly familiar with the First and Second Estate, but the others, were quite mysterious. Though paganism didn't seem a fit to Adeline, she would still make it a point to learn what she could from Priscus Baker about it. One must ive equal thought and measure to each Covenant, shouldn't they?

"I have no questions at this time, other than perhaps ones that could be better answered by the owners of the names and distinctions themselves." She spoke softly, and carefully to her fellow Lord.

He watched as Adeline's gaze shifted from person to person with attentiveness to his lesson.

"Of course," he responded to her soft answer. "Do you have someone in mind?" The Invisible Man seemed intent on introducing her choice of Kindred.

She smiled softly and nodded, looking over at him. "Yes, I would like to meet the two I haven't been able to exchange any words with this evening as of yet." The aquamarine orbs like cool gems set in a remarkable face, landed on The Prince and Priscus of the Nosferatu, and then returned to settle on her fellow lords icy stare. The selection was made. It wasn't so much in words naming the individuals but the intensity in her eyes settling on his. Asking him.

"Hmm," she had a little tenacity about her. Not always a bad thing.

Settling on the choice, the Lord's eyes ticked towards Prince Alessandra Antinori and Jennifer Hazelton . He took a few steps in their general direction but paused to await the Prince's approval to approach.

Adeline stepped with the Seneschal as well, her gaze following his to The Prince and the Lady Notary Hazelton. Interest was clear in her eyes. This was after all, thier first actual meeting. The night was filled with them. It was both exhilerating and stressful all at the same time!

Upon receiving approval, the Lord began his approach.
