Squeezing like a constrictor snake to stifle movement even as his vision turns red and sap-like blood drips onto the ground.

"Is it raining?" Circe snarks at the bug that tried to beat her with a stick. Well, it hit but riot gear mother fucker! She'd ignore that to focused fire on the burning bastard, sending a short burst his way. Talia had a chopper to stab the stick bug with. And Circe had armor to take the hits.

It's not until now that Liam begins to feel the ache from his injuries as it creeps up his limbs and sides to his Ogreish brain. His grip and posture holds, but his breathing is heavy and he's thinking a little bit less. The sounds around him of gunfire and exertion and blunted blows and dying are muffled, save for the struggling Bug Hob in front of him. Trying to release Liam's grip on its...

Arm!

​Moving more on muscle memory than anything else, Liam repeats the maneuver he'd tried on the amphibian Chef Hob on his previous trek into the Hedge. He simply tightens his grip on the Hob's wrist ever so much and jerks towards himself. Hard.

As Wood Bug falls to the ground gasping on the yellow blood coughed up, Radavur yowls, fire burning their leafy body. Shivering, shaking the Hob cat hisses at the Cook Bug, back arched and feeds Glamour into the action.

As Liam's Ogreish strength rips and tears through tissue and the outer carapace of Shovel Bug, the arm doesn't pop from the socket, but it's a near thing, Cook Bug abandons his attempt on Radavur's life, to redirect their next attack to Liam - only for them to fall, uncurious, bleeding out as Circe's barrage of bullet pierce through his hide.

Whatever strength Shovel Bug had left, leaches out as the Summer Queen takes her mark and fires. He hangs limply in Liam's grasp.

A few of the Insectoid Hobs still breathe, the rest had taken their last. The Lost could heal one or two up for questioning, but that would take healing Fruit away from their fellows. People who needed it.

Like the singed Radavur, and their traumatized kits, or the bruised and bleeding Liam.


If the Lost don't think they have enough Healing Fruits, they might try their luck within the effects of the dead and dying Bug Hobs....
