Drinks, Dancing and....

[Aurora]

There had been talk in meetings about a night out on the town.

Talk of it. As to who would actually show up to have some drinks and let loose? That remained to be seen. But Aurora was one hundred percent on board regardless, and could always find someone to drink with.

And tonight, would be no exception! The colleges were back in session which meant old and new faces at the various clubs and bars.

The club picked for the evening wasn’t a dive, nor was it the most happening place in the city. No, she found one right in the middle. A good crowd, filled with a mix of college students and regulars, everyone having a good time and drinking. Or dancing. Or both!

Signs promised half drafts and cheaper top shelf liquors. There was both an outdoor and indoor bar, and the night air was still warm.

Aurora could be found at the bar, chatting up with the bartender as he poured her a beer. Her outfit stood out, at least for the Shaman. One who usually picked more muted colors, she went with reds, blacks and creams. The crop top showing toned stomach and the hint of underboob when she moved just right. But just the perfect hint and she made it look good. Her hair was down and she was clearly having a fun!

Getting out a little.

From time to time it ain't that bad. At least if you're not left hanging by folks. Tonight, Helen has not been left hanging by folks, which is a start. Also it's kiddie season again. Good enough a reason as any to have a look at the new faces in town and see what sort of places are hiding in the depths of the city as such. Like this place. Feels a little more upscale than the dives and places she's normally involved with. Outdoor and indoor, music's not that shit either...

Eh, why not ? What's the worst that can happen anyway ?

She's wearing her bright yellow t-shirt with the usual jeans and trainers combo. Because why not ? As she enters and heads for the bar, she spots a figure that looks vaguely familiar. Huh, interesting ! Without further ado she takes up a spot next to said figure because, guess what, the bar crew's also at that spot. Convenient, ain't it ?

"I'll have what she's having, please."

Yeap, still looks familiar from closer up, now that she's at it.

"Ssssssoooo... 'sup ? Madison, right ?"

That came out way less sure than it was supposed to. Ah, man, she's shit with names sometimes.

[Zeromancer]

Zero walks into the club, he needed a drink. Upon walking in he went up and ordered a drink, rum and coke to be exact, and just took in the atmosphere. He was not dressed up, but he was not too casual either. He felt he was just relaxed enough. Which is what he needed, he was hoping he would be able to catch his friends out.

After looking around he saw Helen and Aurora talking, so he thought he would wait a few before he went in.

[Jasper]

Sometimes a man needs a bit of fun; sometimes more than a bit. Jasper had found his way to one of the dance clubs in this new town. For the large man, a few drinks were definitely on the menu, probably also a dance or two; anything more was just gravy.

Jasper ducks down under the door frame as he steps into the club. He makes a quick scan of the room as he stands back up to his full height. His outfit looks nice and casual, if a bit torn in places, well worn. The giant of a man makes his way over to the bar, his gaze lingering for a moment on the riveting beauty at the bar before he steps up to the bar nearby. When he gets the bartender's attention, he'll order a "Pint o' Guinness," in his thickly accented timbre.

While he waits for his stout, he turns to look over the crowd again, though his gaze does fall to Aurora again a few feet away. His warm green eyes also take in Helen just beyond before he turns to pick up his pint and takes a swig. ​"Thanks a million."

[Aurora]

The words catch her attention, turning to look at the voice, she was pleasantly surprised to find someone she already knew. Well, kinda.

Damn, the lights in here were making the shadows just not act right. They should look into that.

“Helen! Have to say, you have great taste!” holding up her own beer, in regards to the name, a nod, “You’re right! Good memory.” She’d come across people who had problems remembering. Or maybe she just wasn’t that memorable. Either or. “How you doing?” the beer was a seasonal for the fall.

Zero was hard to miss. Not only cause he was a familiar face, but his intimidating good looks. Her beer was held up to him, both as a greeting and an invitation. Not knowing if he was with someone or not.

But it was the other guy that walked in that caught her attention more. For one, he was fucking tall. And two? Those rugged handsome looks. Damn.

And an accent? This guy was just looking to have the women melting. Or guys. Who knows, but she feels her eyes taking him in at the bar. A raise of her glass offered to him when she catches the look.

"Ain't that great to hear ?" She finds it hard to think whatever's in this bottle can surprise her in the bad way, they're way too far from the boondocks for that. Luckily. "The only other Madison I know is the one in that old Tom Hanks flick, really, so that's an easy one to remember for me." She chuckles, then shrugs.

"Eh, same old. Work's been picking up again and I get to pick up on that. Luuucky me. Apart from that and Sacramento State getting beat up in Reno last week, I can't complain too much. Could be better could be worse. How about you ?"

Looking around, there wasn't too much of the gang- Not so fast ! Following Madisons eyes, she spots Hec in the crowd and gives him a wave. Just because she can. However, thzere's still this pretty tall guy joining them at the bar. Definitely not too hard on the eyes and that accent... Well, nobody's perfect. She gives a small nod to Jasper

[Zeromancer]

As Zeromancer walks toward Aurora and Helen he notices that there is a really tall fella that entered as well. how could he not, the dude was enormous. He proceeds to where the ladies are at the bar with his drink in hand. "How are you all tonight? Glad to see the two of you here."

Zero was still a little awkward due to his new friend also hanging around with him.

[Jasper]

When Madison lifts her beer to him, Jasper returns the favor with his own glass of stout. He gives a smile to Helen when she nods to him and then his gaze turns slightly to take in the rather intimidating looking presence of Zero as the man walks up. The giant takes a step closer to the group and flashes a warm smile. "Evenin', ladies, gent," he says, his head inclined so that he can meet their gazes a bit more evenly. He doesn't stoop though. "How's everyone doin' tonight?"

[Aurora]

Laughing, “Hey, whatever works!” and she’d probably answer to whatever anyways. Every now and then another Awakened screwed up her Sleeper name, so she was used to it.

“Hey, nothing wrong with work picking up. A good way to stay busy and maybe” emphasizes on the word, “stay out of trouble. They’re the Hornets, right?” making sure she remembered right. “Didn’t catch the game, but heard it was a brutal ass kicking.” Not a huge sports fan, but you pick up things here and there over time. “Eh, about the same. Work’s been pretty slow actually, thankfully I have a few shows lined up to help keep the rent paid.” Maybe someday she could completely retire.

Shrugging, “I can’t really complain, the beer’s good, music is on point and there’s good company.” Raising the glass to Helen and Zero. “Glad to see you too, how you been doing?” felt like she hadn’t touched base with him in a while.

She knew she was tall, but this guy was even taller up close. How does one get so tall?

“Evening!” a smile offered while trying to not get drawn in by the accent. “I can’t complain, good beer and friends always makes for a nice night. What about you?”

[Helen Kingsley]

"Most of the time it's not, no. But there's a line between 'Busy', 'Very busy' and 'Aw, hell no'." Helen chuckles. "Also, where's the fun in staying out of trouble all the time ?" A vigorous nod. "Three-zero. Still need to win a game so far. Shows ? You're some sort of artist ?" Hector closes in. "Heya Hec, how're you doing ?" She turns a little. "Same goes for you, Too Tall, how's your evening been so far ?"
