A shady night

[Corn]

Corn turned to Apollo interested. "Blacksmith? And you are working for top-tier TV series? And those TV-series hire blacksmiths instead of factory-producing their swords? I have now higher expectations about the quality of Lord of the Ring TV series! Are you allowed to make swords - or spears - that are actual weapons? I am not sure about the law." A highly enchanted dragon-killing spear is a must in Corn's opinion, even if there are no dragons. Or a sword that cuts through steel like a warm knife cuts butter. Sure, some would wonder what would Corn ever do with those, a good question if he was honest with himself, but that's a question for after he had a mystical, majestic sword of legend. Perhaps he would leave it in an antique store in a small dusty town for some hero to find...
Zeromancer 's words brought him back to the present with its unfortunate lack of dragons. "Interesting. Anything happened in there? Crime or something and you thought it may be a ghost? Or you were called to investigate some activity?" he said while grabbing another fry. His eyes momentarily turned to Aurora ... the person that could make a dragon out of a cat. He wasn't sure if giving the dragon a fire breath was possible through life alone. What he was sure about is that Aurora wouldn't see the reason in creating dragons... he hid a small frown by taking a sip from his beer. What's the point in being able to make dragons if you don't make dragons?

[Aurora]

There was an over exaggerated frown, “Taking away all the fun.” Huffs the Shaman.

An eyebrow raises, “Law? Damn, impressive!” and it was. Well, from what she’d heard anyways. The other stuff she already knew. But it was good to hear he was taking the time to get to know everyone, that was rare. Some people picked a side or an argument and held onto it for dear life.

Looking to Zero, “Really? A pawn shop?! That’s a new one for me, never heard of that! Hope you put it on the podcast, I’m really curious about it.” Why would a ghost be in a pawn shop? There was so many questions she had.

Taking a sip, “Anything can be used as a weapon if you try hard enough.” This was true. And it reminded her that she still wanted Winter to tell her about the cup thing. Catching the moment his eyes moved to her, without a word, then the frown, she raises her eyebrow again, “What’s up?”

[Apollo]

Apollo smiled at Corn "Technically I have to make them dull and they are purely for prop or decorative purposes. However, if someone asked I can neither confirm nor deny that I make actual weapons." He was a long way off creating enchanted weapons, but that would come.... some day.

[Zeromancer]

Looking around, "Well lets just say I made a new friend while I was there." Zeromancer said to Aurora . Addressing Apollo, "That is really cool that you are able to make weapons. I used to watch the show Forged in Fire, have you ever thought of competing?"

[Corn]

"I find it very encouraging that you can be both a smith and attend a university, Aaron." he said to Apollo . He didn't get what Aurora meant with the questioning look, his thoughts already moved from the thought that spawned her reaction. "Hmm? All good." he replied. He didn't comment on Zeromancer 's new friend but he raised an eyebrow on the competition part. "Would that be fair given his ... skills?" It would be fairly easy for a Thyrsus to get ahead in such a competition even by using very basic, coincidental spells to coax the spirit of his tools or improve his coordination etc.

[Aurora]

Face lighting up, “You should show them the picture of the chandelier! That thing is badass!” she encourages.

An eyebrow raises at Zero’s words, or, lack of. “A new friend? Those are always exciting, would love to hear about it sometime.” Because if he meant magic, then private was good, if he meant regular mundane, then a good excuse to hangout. Win win to her.

A motion made to the bartender that she wanted another drink.

[Corn]

The rest of the evening passed uneventfully. Corn, before leaving, told Apollo that if the Thyrsus wants to discuss book-club matters, Corn is just a message away.
